The battle has been going on two weeks straight now and there was still no sign of Yuichi Nakamaru.  Both sides were tired, hungry, soaked to the bone from the torrential down pour that has lasted for the past two weeks and even Kame was wondering if Maru was even going to show up, after all he was the one that called this war to begin with all Kame did was answer his challenge. Before they headed out Jun made very clear that there are to be no human casualties if was avoidable. But with flying arrows and the clash of blades being swung by both sides, however, death and injuries were unavoidable.



“ Kazuya!! DUCK!!”  Maki yells as a sword comes out of no where, almost detaching his head from the rest of his body.



Ducking and turning to counter his opponents swing Kame yells his thanks as Maki heads off to help Sho.


“ Kame! Where’s Maru?” Jin asks as Koki manages to knock someone’s crossbow from their hands..keeping Jin from turning into a human pin cushion.


“ I don’t..”  Kame never gets to finish as the wind whips up around both sides, seeing as Yuichi decided that enough was enough.



“ Kazuya. I have the pendant and I can feel its power coursing through my veins, nobody is going to win this war at this rate.”  Maru says as he lifts his hand causing the ground to shake and tremble beneath their feet.


“ Kazu...look!”  Koki says and points to the tower that is coming up from the ground fifty yards away from their current location.


“ Maru! Don’t do this...please? “ Kame begs.


“ Sorry Kamenashi. You have one last chance to turn over what’s mine or you and your friends will meet a very grisly and most undesirable end. Which will it be? Koki or their lives?” 


“My answer is the same now as it was then, Nakamaru, I will never let you have Koki nor will I let you kill anybody here!”  Kame challenges.


“ So be it then.”  Maru lifts his hand up and palm spread outwards facing Koki, causing his pendant to light up.

“ Ka..Kazu...” was all Koki said before his mind went blank and he starts being pulled in Maru’s direction as if he was a mere puppet.


“ KOKI!!”  Kame shouts running over to grab Koki.


He steps in front of his lover and tries to block Koki’s path. He digs his heels into the earth as Maru forces Koki to push back, Koki’s nails digging into Kame’s skin causing the latter to cry out.


“ No...Koki come back to me. You always said our love was a stronger power than that of our pendants.” He pants out as he’s being steadily forced backwards.


Realizing this is getting him no where fast, he reaches up and, with surprising force, pulls Koki’s head down to meet his. Their lips touch and Kame starts kissing Koki, forcing his tongue between Koki’s teeth. At first he thinks that it isn’t going to work, until he felt Koki’s nails retract. Koki stops dead in his tracks and that’s when Kame feels Koki’s tongue push against his as Koki lets out an audible moan in Kame’s mouth. At the same time, Kame yanks the pendant from around Koki’s neck.



“ NO!” Maru screams and picks Kame up and throws him towards the direction of the tower, only to be caught five feet from his starting point by Nino who drops him back where he started.


“ I told you Koki would never be yours Nakamaru!” Kame says smugly and tosses the letter from Maru’s father in Maru’s direction.


“ What’s this?” He sniffs.


“ Its from your father...Maru. Even he wants you to stop before its too late or do you want to wind up in an asylum somewhere!” Kame says on the very small yet vain hope that this gets through to his friend. “ Now give me back my pendant Maru!”


“ Nope sorry.” He says and rises into the air, pocketing the letter as he ascends to the heavens. “ You want it...come get it!”  He says cackling like mad man.


Kame puts Koki’s pendant on and as he activates its powers...Koki says...

“ Kame...”


Looking into Koki’s hazel eyes the only thing Kame could was smile and after a quick hug..he goes up after his friend. No sooner does Kame get to the height Maru is does a red energy ball come from his left, Kame blocks and sends one right back in Maru’s direction, while Koki and the others on both sides watch from the ground below them.



“ Koki...what are you going to do if Kame doesn’t survive or if you can’t turn him before his last breath?”  Jun asks, as a response Koki just gives him a look that clearly states that he has no clue.



Four hours go by. Kame and Maru are still fighting, one to kill and one to save. Unfortunately Kame was getting tired as he was still kinda weak from his poisoning incident and he wasn’t entirely sure just how long he can keep going.


“ You want to know the REAL reason as to why the Tanaka household went back on the deal that was made all those centuries ago?”  Kame asks as a purple energy sword clips his shoulder due to Kame’s weakened state. “ They recanted because every person in your line turned into what you are now, that’s sole reason as to why this Two Pendant prophecy even exists.



“ You’re lying!!” Maru screams as he rams his whole body right into Kame’s.



The sheer force of the hit has Kame starting to fall back towards the ground, unluckily or not, Kame also manages to grab the pendant as Maru slams into him. As Kame goes yank it off...he feels a deep stabbing pain all over his body..in his last ditch attempt at keeping Kame from taking the pendant back, Maru stabs his friend with a dozen or so long very long and very lethal, poisoned drenched dark, icy blue swords. But Kame manages to get it back regardless, with the pendant now gone and its influence no longer controlling him, Maru comes to mid free fall with tears in his eyes as he looks at the state of Kame’s body and the grim smile on his face. Summoning what little strength he as left, Kame manages to right them both and they land softly ten feet away..with Maru supporting Kame’s quickly fading body up right.


“ HELP!” He yells. “ Not for me, but for Kame!”  His tears falling so fast that it would be fruitless to try and stop them, so he doesn’t. He just keeps shouting and calling until he’s shoved roughly away causing Kame to fall only to be caught by Tomo and Jin who were the closest.


“ Ji..Jin...I need...hurry..”  Kame says as his breathing becomes shallow and sporadic as he hands the needle to Tomo.


“ Here Pi...his muscle tissue is starting to crust over and a vampyre’s strength is the only thing strong enough to force this needle through his body.”


“ But..Jin..Koki will...” Kame cuts him off..


“ Its the only...only chance I..have to..get..too..him..before..its..too late.” He coughs and blood spurts out and hits Tomo’s clothing. “ He will understand..”  Kame’s eyes close.



“ DO IT!!” Jin screams.


Nodding, Tomo takes the needle and shoves directly over Kame’s heart causing Kame’s body to jerk in response. Jin tells Pi to go on ahead..while he deals with Maru. Pi takes off to where Koki was standing waiting for Kame to come back.



“ KOKI!!” He calls. “ Come quickly...Kame’s fading fast. “ He says as he lands.


 Koki runs over as fast as his supernatural speed will allow and he immediately takes his lover’s body from Tomo and heads back inside Jun’s compound, locking his bedroom door in the process.

He lays Kame down and rips off his tattered, blood stained shirt and covers his shivering body with the bed covers. Kame’s eyes just barely open and his voice is so low that only a vampyre’s hearing can hear...


“ Koki...I don’t...want to die. The poison is gone and I’m bleeding out..tur...turn me. Make me what you are..I beg you..”  Kame eyes close again.


Koki knows Kame’s serious since Kame never begs for anything, it goes against his principles. He looks down at the person he loves and treasures the most in this world and the next, he knows he can’t survive without Kame in his life no matter what he is. He fears the day that Kame will become angry with him for doing what he’s about to do but as long Kame lives then he can be okay with that. He leans down and gently penetrates the beautiful swan neck of his partner and drains him of what’s left, he gently opens Kame’s mouth being careful not to break his jaw bone.

He pulls a short knife from his bedside drawer and slits his wrist..and presses the wound repeatedly to keep it open and lets the red, diamond like droplets fall into Kame’s mouth and down his throat. He sits there repeating the process in intervals for nearly two hours, there’s still no change. Kame doesn’t move nor does his labored breathing change, Koki thinks him and Tomo were too late until he went to get up from the bed.


“Koki..I’m scared...don’t leave me.” Kame says as he grips Koki’s hand.


“ Kame...I can only stay for a few more minutes..Jun needs to talk too me about that bastard friend of yours..he wants..”  Kame stops him mid sentence.


“ Please don’t be too angry with Nakamaru, Koki. That wasn’t the real him, he never would have done what he did if his heart was strong. He’s always been emotionally weak its the sole reason as to why Jin and the others let him their leader, none us ever thought he would have let these pendants affect him the way they did. He’s normally a good guy who, like me, thinks of others more so than of himself.” 



Koki just nods and sits back down watching Kame sleep, long after he’s sure that his partner is indeed asleep, he goes to meet with Jun and the others out in the garden.



“ How is he?” Ueda asks.


“ I gave him my blood but there’s still no change. I don’t think we were in time to save him.” Koki says but nearly chokes on the last sentence as Sho lays his hand on Koki’s shoulder.


“So what are we going to do about Nakamaru?” Jun asks


“ Jin asked me if him and Ryo can deal with him and I talked to Nakamaru after I dropped Kame off with Koki. He knows and understands well what damage he has caused for both sides, to tell you the truth I don’t think I have ever seen a person with more remorse and guilt in life, and I have lived a lot longer than Ueda. Told them that it wasn’t up too me but that I would pass along their request.” Tomo states.



“ Koki, you know Kazuya better than any of us. What would he want?” Maki asks.

“ He wouldn’t want his friend killed that much I know for sure.” Koki answers.


“ Then its settled then...Yuichi Nakamaru gets to live. Tomo when you see Jin tomorrow night tell him that their request will be honored and that no one here will come after him. Cause I have this nasty feeling that any vampyre or human on our side does go after Nakamaru then Koki here will kill them and not think twice about it.”  Jun says as Koki just nods in agreement.


“ I will.” 


“ WHAT? How can you all just let him off like that? Especially you Koki?” It was Taipi that spoke.



“ In Koki’s defense he loves him and would do anything Kazuya asked of him, in this case not killing his friend and Tomo loves Jin so they wouldn’t stand for us killing him.”  Nino responds.



“ Besides, Taipi, we owe a lot to not only Koki, but too Kazuya as well. If it wasn’t for their sacrifice then none of us would still be standing here, not even Koki. Koki wouldn’t have been killed that’s true. But he would rather die than be with anyone other than Kazuya.” Kusano replies.



“ Now lets go back inside before the sun comes out since the rain has decided to stop finally.” Jun says.



Back in Koki’s bedroom:



“ Koki...where are you?”  Kame asks, finally opening his eyes.


“ Kame...you’re awake.”  Junno said smiling as relief washed over him.


“ Junno..is that you? Where’s Koki?” Kame asked.


“ I don’t know, he asked me to watch over while they were deciding on what to do about your friend..hang on..I’ll go get him.”  With that Junno was gone before Kame could more than just blink.



As he’s running in the direction of Koki’s last known location, he literally runs right into the very person he’s looking for..


“ Hey..Watch it Taguchi! What’s your hurry anyway?”  Koki asks as he removes his person out from under Junno’s lanky form.



“Its Kame! He’s wide awake and asking for you, Koki.”  Junno exclaims, bouncing on the balls of his feet.



“ Kame’s....go and tell Ueda and he’ll go tell Jun.”  Koki shouts as he makes a mad dash for his room.


As he bursts through the doors to his vast library he sees Kame sitting at the desk reading the very same thick volumed book he was reading when he first got here. Kame looks up at the sudden intrusion, ready to tell off whoever it was that disturbed his reading, he stops short when he sees his dark prince standing shell shocked in the door way....


“ Kazuya..are you...please don’t tell me I’m hallucinating.” 


Kame walks around the desk as Koki closes the doors behind him...


“ No sugar...you’re not hallucinating. I’m alive and well, though not being able to eat normal food will take some getting used too. Oh and I borrowed your clothes until we can get to my apartment to get the rest of mine.”  Kame just smiles and runs jumps on Koki, knocking them both to the floor.


“ Oh Kazu...I thought for sure I was too late, I thought I had lost you for good.” He buries he face in the crook of Kame’s neck.


“ I thought so too, baby.”  Kame says, bringing koki’s lips to meet his.



Koki responds eagerly while slipping a hand under Kame’s shirt and tweaks his right nipple causing Kame to moan obscenely. He stands Kame up and guides him backwards to their bed all the while their lips never parting. The kissing stops only long enough for Kame to push Koki down on the bed, he climbs on top and continues kissing his lover. He presses his lips down Koki’s cheek and neck while deftly working in the buttons of his shirt, agreeing with Kame’s train of dirty thoughts Koki unzips the hoodie Kame had put on over the white tank top he had on, and pulled off of Kame.  Koki’s shirt slides off and on to the floor as does Kame’s tank top, Kame was about get started on Koki’s belt buckle when they were interrupted but a knock on the door.



Groaning Kame climbs off of Koki, disappointment flooding through both of their bodies. Koki calls for whomever decided that now was grand time to disturbing their reunion party. Normally he would have told off who ever it was but he stopped when Jun walked through the door...


Noticing their shirts and the state of Koki’s half undone belt buckle he says...


“ Seeing as I just interrupted something, I’ll make it quick.” He chuckled. “ I’m glad too see that Koki and Tomo were in time, Kazuya. I just wanted to tell you that Yuichi Nakamaru still lives and that wants to speak with you, Kazuya, if you somehow managed to survive. I think he wants to try and make amends for his actions or something. We didn’t kill him and left him for your other friends to deal with as you three see fit. There will be celebration prepared in your guy’s honor...it was Taipi’s idea and he wouldn’t back down. Its no wonder he’s a perfect match for Kusano, anyway, both humans and our kind will be there as well. Well, I’ll send Tatsuya along later when all the preparations are done with.” He says and leaves them in peace. He shuts their door and leaves a ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the door.



“ Now...where were we...”  Kame grins pushes Koki down into the mattress....


“ You’re so beautiful, Kame.” Koki pants against Kame’s neck as he thrusts in sharper and deeper, making Kame cry out his name.



“ Koki...I’m...”  Kame presses out between moans


Koki wraps his fist around Kame’s rock hard dick and starts pumping it in time with his movements. A few strokes later has Kame coming hard and fast over Koki’s hand and their bellies, the feeling Kame’s body tensing up around his own length has Koki coming a moment later...Kame’s name passing his lips as he does so. He collapses on Kame’s lithe frame as sweat drips in beads from his forehead, he pulls out and rolls off to lay down next to his lover. Which allows Kame to drop down to lick Koki’s stomach clean of his cum, after he’s done he lays back down and Koki offers the same service to Kame. Koki moves upwards to kiss Kame some more, it was slow and sweet, neither one caring that they can taste Kame’s seed mixed with their saliva on their tongues.



“ Damn...just as great, good and as hot as I remember, Koki. I was afraid that when you turned me that you wouldn’t want me anymore.”  Kame says voicing only of the two fears he now has.




“ Your sweet body is like a drug too me, love, like my love for you..I can never give it up nor would I want too. Plus, this way I can drink from you without the fear of taking too much.” He winks. “ Besides, I don’t care if you are a vampyre or human Kazuya that’s not what attracted me to you. I fell for who you are not what you are. Now I sense there’s something else you fear now that you’re not human any longer, what is it?”  He asks as he runs his hand up Kame’s thigh, over his ass and comes to rest it on Kame’s rib cage.



“That you’ll eventually come to hate me for making you turn me even though it was the only way too..”  Kame starts but Koki cuts across him...



“ That will never happen baby. I could never hate you for that but I fear the opposite.”  Koki admits.




“ What you think that over time I would come to despise you for this?”  Kame said. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing. “ I could never think that honey, I don’t give a damn what I am as long as I have you by my side.” 



“ I know that Kame but I have seen it too many times before.” Koki sighs.


“ I’m not ever going to hate you for making me like you, I wouldn’t be able to live with myself. I love you Koki Tanaka nothing or no one can or will ever change that. I’m where I am meant to be and I have on intention of leaving.” He says reassuringly as their respective pendants sit in their stand by their bed, glinting in the light of the full moon.



Laying both their fears to rest Koki just kisses Kame again as Ueda knocks on their door, poking his head around the door he says...



“ Hey guys, Jun says that if you two are done for the time being then everyone is waiting on the guests of honor and that the party starts in a half an hour. Oh and Kame...”



“ Yes, Ueda.”


“ Thank you for everything.” he smiles and then leaves.



“ Well, I guess we better get cleaned up huh, baby?”  Koki asks.


“ I guess so.”  Kame answers back still smiling.



After a quick shower and a fresh change of clothes they make their down to the banquet hall, linking their fingers as they go, Kame decides to deal with Maru tomorrow night.

the fight!!, im really glad kazu survived that..
and yuichi, he felt guilty?

Thanks but I have one more chapter left since I don't want to leave things unfinished between Koki, Kame, Yuichi.



Yeah he survived but just barely..I actually couldn't write a KoKame fic where either one dies and leaves the other to continue on alone.


Yeah the pendants were the main drive behind Maru's actions. While he did feel jealous over Kame anyway since Kame's is strong of heart and he wishes he could be the same way and with Kame's looks he can get anyone he wants really and his jealousy just worsened when he found out that Kame hooked Koki. Which I will expand on in the last chapter.
