Summary: Can Kame get Koki to change for the better?











Its been six months since Kame last saw his boyfriend, Tanaka Koki, who is currently serving a six month stint in jail for assault when all he did was beat the crap out of the guy who raped Kame’s sister and managed to get off scott free. In reality Koki never laid a finger on the guy, it was Kame who actually beat him up but since Koki was already involved in gang activity and does have a small rap sheet for selling drugs, and Kame was a straight A student aiming for University...Koki didn’t want him to mess that up so he took the fall for his boyfriend’s crime instead. The guy’s family was calling for Koki to be put away for the rest of his life, given the fact that Kazuya did quite a number on the guy, but after hearing what Koki’s reason was for beating the guy within an inch of his life...the judge, like Kame’s parents, felt that Koki was in the right and only gave him six months.






While things on the inside weren’t easy for Koki he was used to it, he’s been locked up for drugs on a few occasions. What he wasn’t used too was not having his lover by his side, especially at night, but since he was due to be released in a few hours he would be able to endure the wait. Things on the outside were even harder for Kame especially at school. While the whole school knew that Kame was going out with the local gang leader, there was one guy who also knew but didn’t care all he wanted was Kame and was determined to get him one way or another.




Kame was at his locker when his sister, Becky, came over and said....



“ This is the big day huh? He’s finally getting out after being locked up for so long.”




“ Yep and once I’m done with Baseball practice, my homework and any chores at home..we’re suppose to meet up at the club.” Kame says as they start walking to his car.



“ I’m sorry..its all my fault that he’s locked up.” She said.



“ No, sis, its not your fault. Koki and I were the ones that choose this..not you. I was the one that decided to get revenge for what that creep did to you and Koki choose to take the fall for my actions so I wouldn’t screw up my academic career. But you do owe him a ‘thank you’ for the card he sent you for your birthday.”  Kame said with a reassuring smile.



“ Okay, hey if its alright with our parents and Koki-chan, can me and my friend Tamari come with you guys?” Becky asked hopefully.




“ You ask our parents and if they say its okay then I’ll ask Koki about it later.”  Kame replied.




“ Yay!! But I don’t understand something, if Koki is as smart as you..then why does he..?” she stopped, not sure if she was asking something that was alright or not.



“ Because the streets were all he ever knew growing up and while he did get the same grades as me, he just couldn’t see a future for himself beyond the gangs and drugs....oh great..not this jerk again.” Kame ends in a groan.



“ Doesn’t he know who you’re...”




“ Yeah but he doesn’t give a damn and since Koki’s been locked away for the last six months...he’s taken a liking to me and he keeps trying to get into my pants at every opportunity that arises. Becky get in the car and don’t get out.”  Kame says.




“ Yo, Kamenashi..what’s up? I heard you like guys that are dangerous...how about we go some where and get to know each other a little better” He says, leering at Kazu while tugging on the buckle of Kame’s belt.


Smacking his hand away, Kame says...



“ For the last time...I wouldn’t date you if you were the last guy in earth, I would demand a recount instead. Now, I gotta go..” He turns to open his car door when the guy whispers...




“ After one night with me..you’ll forget all about the other guy, see you tonight.” he walks away leaving Kame and Becky in peace.




“ Man, that guy’s creepy Kame.” Becky says he climbs in, starts the car and heads home.




“ Yeah, I’m going to tell Koki about it when I see him later.”




After finding out that Baseball practice was canceled due his coach being sick, Kame finishes his homework and cleans his room. He just got done making his bed when his dad calls him down stairs...



“ Yes dad?”  



“ You know I’m not fond of how Koki makes his money but I’m grateful for what he did for you, and that he keeps his illegal activities as far from you as possible. But have you ever talked to him about cleaning up his act?”



“ This AGAIN? Why can’t you just leave it alone...I...” Kame starts but his mom cuts him off....



“ Look Kame, we just want whats best for the both of you. He never had the opportunities growing up that you did, that’s true but he’s still young. He can still make something of himself if he really wants to.”  His mom reasons




“ I’ll try and talk to him tonight.” Kame says with a sigh. “ So can I stay at Koki’s place tonight?”



“ Hmm...what did you get on your last test for AP science?”  his dad asks.




“ You know full well I aced that test, besides, you know full well Koki wouldn’t let me see him if got anything less than a B. Remember when I got that C on my AP math test because the teacher in that class hates me for some reason?” Kame says



“ Yeah, I remember Koki punished you for us.”  his dad comments.



“ Yeah, the only time I got to see him was when he came over to help me study to make sure I passed my next one with flying colors.” He said, slightly annoyed.




“ Yes, you may stay over but make sure your sister and her friend get home on time.” His mom says.




“ Thanks guys.”  Kame says as he runs back up to his room to get ready.




An hour later Kame, Becky and Tamari were waiting outside the club for Koki and his friends to show up.




“ So, what’s the leader like? I heard he was good looking. Does he have a girlfriend?”  Tamari asks since she doesn’t go to the same school as Becky and Kame. Kame just cocks eyebrow in her direction as Becky just giggles.



“ Yes, Tamari. The leader is good looking but he’s already spoken for.”  Kame says as two escalades and one shiny new Hummer pull into the parking lot.



“ Really? By who?” she asks Kame as his sister nudges him in the ribs as Koki and his friends start walking towards them.




“ By me.” He smirks and runs over to his boyfriend, while Tamari pouts.




“ Hey Koki, thanks for letting my sister and her friend tag along. I just have to get them back by their curfew and then I’m yours for the rest of night.”  



“ Hey Kazu. No problem, you remember Shin and Ryu.” Kame nods. “ Don’t worry I wouldn’t have brought them around your sister if I couldn’t trust them.”  Koki reassures his boyfriend and Becky.




“ Hey both Shin and I have sisters at home as well and we would’ve done the same thing.” Ryu said.



“ Shall we go in now?”  Tamari says as she takes Shin’s arm as they all head inside.



While Shin, Tamari, Becky and Ryu were all down on the dance floor..Kame tells Koki about what he’s been going through the whole time Koki was away, needless to say...Koki was pissed.




“ Doesn’t he know better?”



“Yeah but he doesn’t give a shit.”  




“ Argh!! Show me who he is and I'll break his fucking neck!” Koki shouts as their friends sit back down.




“ Now who does he want to kill?” Ryu asked.



“ Oh this guy that goes to my school and who thinks he’s all that. He’s been hitting on my brother for the last six months.” Becky says. Turning to Koki Kame says...



“ Koki you just got released, next time the judge may not go easy on you. Do you really want to go back?” He asks as he smacks Koki upside the head.



“ No, not particularly.”  Koki relents.



“ Besides Koki, didn’t you say just this morning that you wanted something more out of life?” Shin asked.




“ Hey Kame, wanna see my new car? I got it just before I went in the slammer.” Koki asks instead of answering Shin’s question.



“Yeah sure. We’ll be back guys.” Kame gets up and follows Koki outside to the gray Hummer parked behind the building.




“ Nice car, baby.” Kame whistles as he walks around admiring his lover’s car.




“ Yeah the inside's even nicer.” Koki whispers as he squeezes Kame’s butt, getting the hint Kame opens the door and climbs in. Koki soon follows and after locking the doors and pulling the curtains shut, he hauls Kame closer to his body...




“ I have missed you, Koki.”  Kame says and slips his tongue between Koki’s lips and starts sucking on his tongue, causing all the blood to rush southwards.





“ I have missed you and your sweet body as well, Kame.” Koki moaned as he left Kame’s lips to travel down his throat..pausing only long enough to strip them both of their clothing. “ Nope.”  Koki reassures Kame as he disposes of the condom and tissues, they put their clothes back on and head back inside.


They get to the door when Kame tells Koki that he left his phone and that he’ll be back. Koki heads inside as Kame turns on his heel to go back to get his phone. On the way back he has the unfortunate luck to run into the wanna be gangsta from his school.



“ Hey Koki, shouldn’t Kame have been back by now?” Ryu asks.




“ Now that you mention it....Shin come with me. Ryu..you stay here with Becky and her friend..we’ll be back.”  Ryu nods as Koki and Shin head back outside to find Kame. And find him they did..pinned to the alley wall by someone they don’t know.




“ Hey!! Let him go!” Koki shouts as he runs over and throws the other guy to the ground, while Shin checks on Kame...” You okay?” he asks.



“ Yeah, thanks. Koki, Shin, this is the jerk that we told you about...his name is Yosuda.” Kame glared in the other guy’s direction.





“ You want me to take care of him for you?”  Shin asks.





“ Please do.”  Koki says as him and Kame walk away..Kame turns and says...




“ Hey Shin..do me a favor and make it hurt will you?”  Shin nods.



Back inside they head off to find the other three...



“ Well...we better get going, I have to get these two back home before their twelve o’clock curfew” Kame says as his sister and her friend pout. Outside Shin just tells them that him and Ryu he’ll catch up with them tomorrow.



After dropping Beck and Tamari off at their respective homes with a half hour to spare, they head back to Koki’s flat..where Kame spends the rest of the night showing Koki, repeatedly, how much he’s missed the feel of Koki's well trained body under his.




“ Hey Kame, I have been thinking. I already have my high school diploma and I was wondering what you would think about me going for my collage degree. I’m tired of this life I have now..except the part that involves you, and I know I can do the work but if you prefer me this way then....” He’s cut off by Kame’s lips on his.




“ That’s great, baby. I’ve told you before that you do have a future beyond the gangs and the drugs, you just have to believe in yourself and put in the work. I fell for who you are...not for how you live.” Kame says.




That’s exactly what Koki did too, he moved into Kame’s house since he needed a stable address. When he went to talk to the dean of the Uni that Kame was aiming for he was told that he needed to take some AP courses to round out his qualifications, so he enrolled in Kame’s school just for the classes and to be near his boyfriend. A year later Koki was taking his collage entrance interview, Kame already did his and passed, when he was asked what his reason was for wanting to enroll at this school. So, Koki told them about his past..even though it was painful for him, and that thanks to a certain person in his life that he could finally see something better for himself. It was thanks to this main driving force in his life that caused him to desperately want to change they way he lives. That he doesn’t want to meet an early grave and leave this special person alone in this world. When he finishes they tell him that he passed as well and that school begins in the fall. He thanks them from the bottom of his heart for giving an ex-gang member like him a chance and that he’s grateful. He walks out to where Kame and his mom are waiting for him...




“ Well...Koki? How...how did it go?”  Kame asks tentatively seeing as Koki had his head down, looking up they see the smile on his face...



“ I did it! I got accepted!”  Koki shouts and pumps his fist in the air as Kame runs over..



“ That’s great Koki...I’m so happy for you!” He says and he kisses his boyfriend with so much emotion that he doesn’t care that his mom is watching them. She coughs to let them know that she’s still there, pulling away they both blush nice a shade of red.




“ What did you tell them?” She asks eventually after her son and his lover regain their composer.




“ The truth and what led me to want to start over.” Koki said.




“ Which was what?”  She asks, even though she already knows Koki's answer.




“ Kame. If it wasn’t for him changing my heart by falling for him, then I never would’ve had the courage to start over. Well that and while I was serving out his sentence I realized just how tired I was of the way I was living, not to mention that it was not only a danger to me but to Kame and you guys as well.” Koki said honestly. “ But I never understood why you and his dad were okay with him dating some one like me to begin with.” He says, slightly confused.




“ Because he told us about your past, that you made sure that he didn’t become a lowly street thug...or ex-street thug in your case, and that you tried to keep all that illegal stuff away from his as often as you could help. Oh and you got bonus points for taking the fall for my son when he attacked the guy that raped my daughter. We can also see the potential in people...especially when those people are as intelligent as Kame.” She says as they walk back to the car.



Back in Kame’s room, they are lying naked and sweaty under the covers..making sure to keep quiet as his sister and parents were down stairs.



“ Well after this summer is over we’ll starting collage and after that we can get jobs and start our future together.” Kame says with his head on Koki’s chest. “ Think you can handle the work load?”  He teases.




“ As long you’re by my side, love, I can handle anything.” He says hugging Kame closer to his body as they fall asleep.
