Summary: Jin finally accepts the truth, or rather its beaten into him.
It was two days before Jin’s return from America and Kat-tun were in their dance studio, taking a much needed break. While T-UN were all sitting on the floor resting, Kame and Koki were no where to be found, unless you knew where to look. On any given day their location changes, today they could be found cuddling in the roof top garden of JE.
“ You know something Koki, I almost wish Akanishi wasn’t coming back. Then we wouldn’t have to worry about him interfering.” Kame said, whispering his worries in the crook of his lover’s neck.
“ I know, Kazuya. But didn’t you tell him that it was over between you two the night before he left?” Koki asked.
“ Yeah, but you didn’t see the e-mail he sent once it sunk in that I didn’t love him anymore and that I found someone else.”
“ Well, summarize it for me.”
“ Basically, that he still loves me and that I should stop lying to him and myself. And that who ever this new guy is..he’s going to kick the shit out of him. He’s going to do whatever he thinks it will take to win me back.”
“ It will be a very cold day in hell before he’s takes you from me, my turtle, and before he beats me in a fight. I will fight for you Kame, but I won’t treat you like some sort of trophy and fight over you, unless you say other wise.” Koki said as Kame linked their fingers...their silver and gold rings glinting off of the morning sun.
“ I know Koki and I love you for that but he doesn’t know its you that I fell for....” He’s cut off by Koki’s mouth.
“ Shh...we’ll deal with Akanishi when its time. But for now let’s enjoy what’s left our break, ok?”
“ Okay.” Kame says as he wriggles into his boyfriend’s neck as a smile spreads across his lips.
Two days later KT-TUN is sitting in the conference room waiting for Jin and their manager to show up, when Maru leans across the table and asks...
“ You guys ready for this?”
“ No, but he’s got to find out sooner or later.” koki says as Ueda moves around to sit in the vacant chair on the other side of Kame.
Jin was the first one to arrive and when he sat down directly across from Kame and Koki, he made it glaringly obvious that he wasn’t too pleased with the seating arrangements. For one Ueda was sitting where both him and Kame knew was his spot, for two, he couldn’t say much about Koki since Kame and Koki have always sat next to each during meetings, which went back to their younger days.
“ Kame..we need to talk.” Jin said just as the their manager walks in and starts the meeting about their CKT II tour. After about an hour and a half their manager released them for the day to get started on taping for CKT, Kame was off in a corner talking with Koki and Maru when Jin came over...
“ Hallway...now!” Jin ordered.
“ You could try ASKING before you start over stepping your bounds by demanding things from people, you know.” Kame said as he glared at Jin at the same time Koki puts his hand on his lover’s shoulder to calm him down a little.
“ Will you come out and talk with me?” Jin asked, slightly nicer this time.
Kame nods and follows Jin outside, leaving the door open just in case...
“ Yes, Akanishi? I’m busy and I have to be somewhere before taping starts.”
“ Just this...” Jin says as he leans in to kiss Kame, but Kame stops him with his hand.
“ What is the matter with you? I told it was over between us, now cut it out before he sees you.” Kame demanded.
“ What? I’m just trying to give you a proper hello, Kame, we haven’t seen each other for six months. You really didn’t expect me to believe that joke of an e-mail did you, cause you really can’t do any better than me.” Jin answered trying to kiss Kame again.
All the while Koki was watching from the open door and Kame knew it, a small wave of his hand told Koki that now would be a great time to intervene. Walking over he immediately drags Kame away from Jin.
“ OI!! Jin, leave Kame alone. He’s done with you and has been for months now, he found someone else...someone who treats better than you ever could.” Koki tells Jin, as he hugs Kame from behind.
“ Let’s go Kazuya...we’re going to be late.” Koki says and without a backwards glance Kame follows Koki to the set, locking fingers with Koki as they disappear.
“ What’s Koki’s deal? Kame’s my business..not his.” Jin said.
“ Not anymore he’s not, Jin, a lot has changed since you’ve been gone. Now Kame is Koki’s business...and mine.” Maru added as an after thought, as he followed KoKame to the set.
“ What’s he talking about?” Jin asked Ueda as him and Junno went the same way.
“ Look, just get over Kame already. He’s moved on and so should you. I’m not supposed to tell you this but...while you were gone Kame fell for Koki and vice versa. There’s no way he’s going to leave his future for his past.”
“ WHAT?! How dare Koki steal Kame and force him to break things off with me! He knows how Kame feels...”
“ Not anymore Jin, and the way Kame explained it..he’s been feeling like this for quite some time.” Junno reasoned.
“ We’ll see about that!” he said and all but ran the rest of the way to the set. But he didn’t get a chance to talk to the couple for the rest of the day and while KT-TUN got to go home, he had a meeting with Johnny to go to.
One of the upsides is that Jin no longer knows where Kame nor Koki live, since they now share an apartment together...so their nights can only be disrupted by Jin via telephone. Koki is sitting on the couch watching tv with Kame’s head in his lap, when Koki’s cell goes off...its Jin for the tenth time in an hour. Instead of answering he just hits ignore and goes back to running his fingers through his lover’s hair.
“ Do I really need to ask who called you just now?” Kame asked.
“ No, since its the tenth time Bakanishi has called in the past hour.” Koki grumbles as he leans to place a light kiss on Kame’s lips.
“ You know to this very day, Koki, I still don’t know what it was that I saw in Jin. But I know what I see in you and that could fill entire book.” He says as pulls Koki to his feet and wraps his arms around Koki’s neck. “ Let’s go to be bed early and forget about Jin until tomorrow” Kame’s voice was low and seductive and it made all the blood in Koki’s body pool in his groin as he pushed Kame backwards towards their bedroom.
“ Dammit!!” Jin yelled he shoved his phone back in his pocket.
“ See, this is what I tried to tell you in my last e-mail Jin.” Pi said as he passed him his drink...thinking to himself that they’re lucky Jin has yet to notice the rings Koki and Kame wear.
“ I know what you’re up to Jin and any attempts at getting Kame back is not going to succeed, not when its Koki he’s fallen for. You know can’t...anyway, but if you’re dead set on making a jackass out of yourself..then by all means go ahead Pi and I won’t stop you.” Was all Ryo said as him and Yamapi left the bar.
Jin’s only been back for two weeks and he still refuses to accept the reality that’s staring him in the face..the reality that Kame’s no longer his and who know belongs to his band mate. Koki was getting sick and tired of what Jin’s antics were doing to Kame, all he needed was the perfect match to light the fuse....which he was about to get.
“ Hey guys.” Koki and Kame say to Ueda and the others as they walk into the dressing room...pointedly ignoring Jin’s existence.
“ I see the universe is still in order, despite Jin’s attempts.” Ueda smirked.
“ I don’t get it.” Junno said as Maru rolled his eyes, it was too early for Junno’s KY moments.
“ Look.” was Ueda said and both Junno and Jin looked where Ueda pointed, right at Koki’s and Kame’ linked hands and that’s when Jin noticed something he hadn’t before...the ring on Kame’s finger is an exact match for the ring on Koki’s finger, at this Jin snapped and stormed over to the couple....
“ What the hell...what’s the meaning of this?” Jin shouted at Kame.
"Don't yell at Kame-chan!" Koki says
"You stay out of this!" Jin says to Koki.
“ Huh? What’s the meaning of...what, Jin? What are..?” Kame starts but Jin cuts across him.
“ This?!” He shouts grabbing Kame’s hand and pointing at the ring on his finger. “ Take it off!” He yells as he tries to pry the ring from Kame’s finger.
“ Stop it asshole! I’m not taking anything off!” Kame says as he manages to yank his hand free.
“ Why you...” Jin goes to grab Kame by the shirt but he’s blocked by Koki who put himself between Jin and Kame.
“ Touch him again and I’ll kill you!” Koki growled and shoved Jin away from Kame. “ I told you before that Kame’s with me now and that he doesn’t love you anymore.” Koki spits as him and Kame walk away. But Jin won’t let things go so easily...
“ Fight me.” Jin says making Koki and Kame stop dead in their tracks.
“ What for?” Koki asks locking eyes with Jin.
“ For Kame, the winner gets Kame.” Jin said leaving the whole room in a dead silence.
“ He’s not some trophy, Jin, and I won’t treat him as such.” Koki says as he sits down while Kame takes his place in Koki’s lap.
“ What’s the matter? Chicken?” Jin mocked as Koki clenched his fist until his knuckles turned white. Noticing this Kame whispers...
“ Go ahead, baby, fight over me. I know you don’t want too but he needs shutting up. Besides, I’ll reward you for it later.” he says as he sucks on Koki’s ear lobe.
“ Alright Jin..you win. I’ll fight you.” He said standing up. “ Just so you know though...either way Kame’s still coming home with me, not you.” He says as he ducks from Jin’s right hook.
Koki Follows up with his own and makes contact with Jin’s head, infuriated..Jin tries to knock Koki’s legs out from under him. Koki back flips out of the way.... he grabs Jin and flips him on his back. Jin staggers to his feet and rushes at Koki, who just side steps Jin and punches him in the stomach causing Jin to drop to his knees.
“ You done, Jin, because as much as I’m enjoying the work out...this really is kinda point less.” Koki says as he walks back to where Kame’s waiting for him.
“ Just face it Jin...Kame’s not coming back to you...not now..not ever.” Maru said.
“ Ready Koki? Let’s go.” Kame says as he pulls Koki out into the hallway.
“OI! Where do you think you two are going? This isn’t over.” Jin said weakly after getting his ass handed to him by Koki.
“ Yes, it is Jin. Koki won the fight, even if he lost I would have left with him anyway and Koki won the fight over my past with you long before you came back. So just accept it and move on.” Kame answers.
“ Where are you two going, anyway?” Junno asked.
“ I promised him something.” Kame said with a wink.
“ So, what is my reward anyway.” Koki asked as Kame locked the door to a storage room that’s always left open.
“ What’s the one thing that you’ve always wanted me to do to you at work, that I’ve only ever wanted to do in bed?” Kame asks as he pulls Koki’s zipper down and starts massaging him making him rock hard.
“ You mean..you’re actually...” Koki tries to say as his breathing hitches when he feels Kame’s hot mouth come down around his hard on...a few minutes later Kame swallows and stands up to kiss koki. They head back to their dressing room where Jin’s lying on the couch...
A few hours later...
“ Why?” was all Jin said.
“ Because you and Kazuya weren’t just meant for each other.” Ryo said.
It was then that Jin turned and locked eyes with Tomo and he felt his heart skip a beat, that was when Jin realized that everyone was right. His time with Kame was now at an end and the only one that could help him move forwards was right in front him the whole time. The next day he apologized to Kame and Koki for the things he did and said. While things were never in perfect harmony after that...at least Kame and Jin could remain friends, though they could never be considered best friends anymore..but maybe that’s just the way things are meant to be.
