Having gotten off of work early, Kame decides to stop off at the store to pick up a few things he for got when he went to the store the other day. He hears foot steps behind him as he’s walking to his car to head home, he whips around expecting to see someone there but all he sees is a vast, empty, quiet parking lot...that was a little TOO quiet for his liking. Deciding its just the wind he continues to his car, after putting his bag in the trunk and shutting it, he goes to walk around to the driver’s side of the care when his path is cut off by a man that he’s never seen or met before.




“ Excuse me, but can I get through?”  Kame asks politely.



 But the other guy just continues to look at him and it was then that Kazu noticed the predatory glint in his eyes. Looking Kame up and down, taking in his lean, muscular body, his soft brown eyes and his gorgeous chocolate locks, he slowly walks up to Kame and whispers...




“ Ah! The scent of the innocent, mixed with that of a hunter. Now, there’s an aroma you don’t smell everyday.” He closes his eyes sniffing the wind as the cloudy sky got even darker. He opens his eyes after a few seconds and smiles at Kame and that’s when Kame notices the guy’s teeth. Normally, Kame’s not afraid of vampyres but this guy was different, there was something about him that sent shivers down Kame’s spine and made the hair on the back of his neck stand up. Kame starts walking backwards in time with other guy’s steps towards him...




“ Why don’t we go some where more private and get acquainted, shall we?” 




“ Uh...that’s okay.” Kame says as he keeps walking backwards and quite suddenly he trips over his feet, falling backwards and hitting the pavement as the stranger comes down on top of him.



He winds his fingers through Kame’s hair, tightens his grip and roughly yanks Kame’s head to the side..exposing the pulsating artery in his swan-like neck. Instinctively, his grip on Koki’s jacket tightens and he starts wishing for all the world that Koki was there.



“ You know, that’s not really a good idea...aahhh!!” Kame grunts out and then screams as his head is yanked even further. Feeling the guy’s breath on his neck, Kame closes his eyes and silently says his good byes to Koki...in his heart he wishes he could have seen him just once before he met his death. Next thing he knows...the weight that was covering his body was being lifted off and he felt a strong, cold hand grab him by the arm and gently pulls him to his feet...opening his eyes he sees two people, one standing on his left...who was still holding onto Kame’s arm, and a figure standing in front of him.



“Ko...” He’s cut off by the guy next to him.



“ Wait” he whispers in Kame’s ear as Koki starts speaking to Kame’s attacker.




“ What are you doing here? The Count warned you to stay away from this city and its inhabitants. Besides, THAT human belongs to me and no one is allowed to touch him”  koki growls as his eyes flash red as rage courses through his veins as Kame’s phone rings. Kame looks to Koki’s companion who lets him go so he can answer his phone, walking far enough so the caller can’t hear what’s going on, he flips it open...




“ Hello?”




“ Kame, its me. I am going to be showing up at your place around six alright. Its four now but I have something to do first and it will take a while.” Maru explains.




“ Okay, I am still at work anyway. Crap! My boss is coming...I gotta go. I’ll see you tonight.” Kame replies and quickly disconnects the line, as he walks back to where the three men were.



“ Everything alright?”  Koki’s friend inquires quietly.



“ Yeah” Kame responds quietly as the guy responds to Koki.




“ I wouldn’t put so much faith and trust in your beloved Count, if I were you. And as for that human...he’s going to make a nice meal.” The says as he disappears only to reappear behind Kame, knocking Ueda to the ground, he grabs Kame by the hair and pulls his head back and leans in to sink his teeth into Kame’s neck....



“ K..Koki! Help me...please.”  Kame begs.



Answering his human lover’s desperate plea, Koki ends up behind both of them. He grabs the enemy by the neck, disengages his fingers from Kame’s hair and sinks his nails into the guy’s flesh...ripping his throat out. Panting heavily, Koki throws the corpse to the pavement. Turning to Ueda he says...



“ Dispose of this for me, will you?” nodding, Ueda pulls out a broad sword and severs the dead vampyre’s head from his body and burns both body and head, as Koki turns to Kame....



“ Are you alright, love?”  he asks, his eyes full of concern and relief.



“ Now that you’re here yeah. But who was that and who is he?” Kame asks in reference to his attacker and Ueda.




“ Well, the guy who attacked you is from a faction up east that has been trying to get us to join forces with them, and the Count as always declined the offer.” Koki explains.



“ And him?”  Kame asks torn between feeling grateful that Ueda pulled the other guy off of him and his jealousy.




“ His name is Tatsuya Ueda, he’s the one I told you about.”  Koki answers as Ueda makes his way over.




“ Ueda..Kame, Kame..Ueda”  Koki does the introductions.



“ Hi” they both say at once.




Ueda looks Kame over, but Kame sees a totally different look than that of his now dead attacker, and says....




“ So, this is the guy you told me about. Nice choice Koki.” He smiles in Koki’s direction, an action that makes Kame feel even more jealous.



“ Yeah and thanks.” Koki smiles back, which causes Kame to glare in his nocturnal lover’s direction.



“ Are you alright, Kame?” Ueda asks.



“ I’m fine and thank you for pulling him off of me.” Kame says genuinely grateful, even though he’s still jealous.




“ Don’t mention it, now I best be going...I left Junno by himself with Nino running around loose and you know how Nino just LOVES to play with the young ones. I would rather NOT have my Junno defiled. Nice meeting you Kame.”  With that Ueda disappears, leaving Kame and Koki alone.




“ Shall we head back before the sun comes out?”  Kame asks stiffly, while still glaring at Koki.



“ Uh...yeah..s..sure”  Koki says carefully not knowing what is that he’s done to cause Kame to react that way.




They back to Kame’s place and, still ignoring Koki, he puts the contents of his bag away and starts making his dinner as Koki takes his from Kame’s mini fridge. They sit down to eat and still Kame’s says nothing to Koki, who starts feeling like he’s going to suffocate in the heavy and awkward silence that lingers in the atmosphere. After dinner Kame cleans the dishes and flops down on the sofa and watches tv until Maru comes over, Koki was still watching from the dining room table unsure whether or not it would be wise to change his seating arrangements, until Kame says.....




“ Are you coming or not?”  He says clearly annoyed and bothered about something. Carefully Koki makes his way over and sits down next to Kame, who just stays where he is instead of cuddling to Koki’s side. Two hours go by and Kame hears a sudden knock on his door..Koki and Kame stand up, as Koki goes to kiss him, Kame pulls back and moves across to answer his door as Koki, getting the message, heads off to Kame’s bedroom.





“ Oh hey Maru. So what did you want to talk about?” Kame asks as he lets Maru into the apartment.




“I wanted to talk....are you alright? You look troubled.”




“ I’m fine...just had a bad day that’s all.”




“ Oh. Anyway, I wanted to apologize for last night. Jin and Ryo told me what happened, I don’t understand what came over me”  Maru explains.





“ I can half hazard a guess, but it really is just a new jacket. So, was there anything else?”





“ No, I just wanted to apologize and to see if you could come by the hideout tomorrow night, I need you to take a look at a patient. Jin and I saved her on one of our patrols and she’s still unconscious.” 




“ Okay, I’ll stop by to see if I can do anything for her. Now, if you don’t mind I have something to do tonight.” 




“ Okay, well I’ll see you later then, Kame”  Maru says as him and Kame part ways. Closing the door he walks into his bedroom and shuts the door behind him. Turning to face Koki he asks....





“ Just what is his relationship with you anyway?”




“ Who?”



“ Ueda, you know, that really good looking guy you were with earlier” Kame answers back, every syllable dripping with irritation and annoyance. Then it dawns on Koki that Kame is jealous...




“ He’s just my friend Kame..nothing more. I chose you, you’re the one I want. You have a power over me that has nothing to do with any prophecy or anything to do with the powers our pendants hold.” Koki moves to wrap his arms around him, but Kame pushes him away and goes to sit on the bed, sighing he says.....




“ What’s so great about me? I’m a human, as I grow older, you’ll just leave and find someone younger or hook up with another vampyre. That way you won’t have to stand there and watch as I grow old and die. Maybe you would be better off with someone like Tatsuya.”  Kame states, his jealousy turning into sadness as a tear runs down his cheek.




“ But Kame...”



“ No buts, Koki its true and nothing can change that.”  Kame says as his tears start to flow.




“ Maybe that is true, but I still love you Kazu and I always will..no matter how old you get.”  Koki says gently as Kame’s tears seared painfully at Koki’s heart, Kame just turns away unwilling to look his boyfriend in the eyes.




“ Kazuya. Look at me, please?”  Koki asks. Sighing...Kame looks over, “ If I wanted to be with another vampyre, I wouldn’t have kept finding excuse after excuse to keep coming around here. I still would have helped you that night, yes, but you never would have saw me again. But I didn’t. After we parted ways that night, you were all I could think about baby. I couldn’t get you out of my head or my heart, kazu. Despite us being two different species, you’re the only one I want. You’re the one I love, not anyone else.”  Koki says trying to comfort his human lover. He doesn’t notice the bloody tear running down his cheek until Kame wipes it away with his thumb.




“ You mean that Koki?” 



“ What does this tell you?”  Koki replies and kisses Kame deep and strong. Koki pulls away so they can breath, which Kame says...



“ I am sorry Koki, I was being a stupid and insecure idiot. Forgive me?”



“ Of course, Kame.” Koki says smiling as Kame grabs his shirt and pulls Koki down on top of him and shoves his tongue down Koki’s throat. Koki moans and pushes Kame deeper into the bed as Koki undoes the buttons Kame’s shirt. Kame whines a little as Koki’s lips move from his mouth to travel down his neck to his chest. He swirls his tongue around each one of Kame’s nipples before heading further south, gently nipping at the taught skin on his abdomen. Moaning, Kame runs his fingers through Koki’s hair as his hips hitch up of their own accord as he feels Koki’s mouth come down around his length. Kame’s head thrashes around as his hands grip the bed covers at the sheer pleasure he’s getting from, not only the best blow job he’s ever had, but from the feeling of Koki’s cold hands on his over heated body. “ Koki...I..am going to...” Kame forces out as he feels his release getting near as Koki’s breathing turns ragged and shallow against his throat.



“ Oh Kazuya...where...where do you want me  too..”

“ Then come and come hard for me, my Kazuya...” Koki growls into Kame’s ear as he’s pumping Kame’s rock hard cock in time with his movements. “ Same here, love and that’s saying something seeing as I have been living for quite a long time” Koki says with a satiated grin. They spend the next two hours never leaving Kame’s bedroom.





While across town this happened....






“ Do you think he’s going to show, Yuichi?”  Ryo asks





“ With Kame, I am not sure. He’s changed a lot recently and something’s up with him and I know he’s keeping something or someone secret. I am going to get out of him, if he’s harboring the enemy then after I get my hands on his pendant, locate its companion and then I’ll have power over both humans and vampires....stopping this war altogether.....”





“ So, what if he is helping the other side? He’s his mother’s son after all.” Jin said cutting off Maru’s speech. “ You can’t do anything about it and besides, not all of them are the sa...”





“ You have no room to talk Akanishi!” Maru shouted, while Ryo gave Jin a sympathetic knowing full well how much Jin misses Yampai, and how much he hates Maru for what he did.




“ Besides, Yuichi, you’re keeping stuff from Kame. I know you took those missing pages and after I witnessed the power that Kame’s pendant has over you, it occurred to me that you are the WRONG person to have that kind of power. You have too much hatred, why we will never know because you refuse to tell anyone anything. Remember Nakamaru ‘Absolute power corrupts absolutely’. Warned Ryo as him and Jin left their leader alone and went drinking.



“ Those two understand nothing...those pendants are too powerful and too dangerous for someone as naive as Kame, and the vampyres don’t need that kind of power. But I do, I can control it” Maru mutters to himself as he stares at Koki’s picture and the blue jewel around his neck.




Back at Kame’s place......




“ You’re not really going to your hideout tomorrow, are you Kame?”  Koki asks as they get dressed after just getting out of the shower.





“ Yeah why?”




“ Don’t do it, Kazu, it’s a trap. He’s trying to set you up, love, he was lying to earlier when he said that there was a patient he wanted you to check out. I think he recognized my jacket that night and he’s not going to back off like we originally had hoped. He wants your pendant and he wants....” Koki couldn’t bring himself to finish. Walking over to Koki Kame asks....





“ And he wants what, Koki? Tell me, don’t do to me what Maru’s doing, please?” Kame says seriously.





“ Me. He wants me, kame, and my pendant. I have been thinking a lot about our conversation from a few days ago, while I still don’t know anything yet...I get the feeling his motives are less than honest...so I ask you...please don’t go and see him, Kame?”  Koki finishes.




“ Okay, I won’t go. But that won’t stop him from showing up here though.”




“ I know Kame, but at least here I can keep an ear out on things and protect you if you need help. Don’t worry though, I won’t kill him.” Koki says as he cuddles to Kame’s back.





“ I understand baby. Oh and for the record...he can’t have you OR your pendant and that’s a fact.” Kame says as he winds his hand up around the back of Koki’s neck to rest on the back his head.




“ Shall we get going then, the show starts at eight thirty?” 




“ Yeah, let’s go.” As him and Koki head out on their date.

when koki saved kame all i can think about is koki is really hot and cool as a vampire...xDD but poor jealous kame-chan...:D
