A/N: Written in honor of Kame's 26th birthday.

Kame always loved his birthday, not because he got free stuff from people...though that was a definite bonus, but because he almost always got to be with the four guys that mean more to him than any of his other friends. He always had fun and rather interesting days when they all could be together, especially when his best friend Koki walked in the door. Since today was his birthday, he was expecting Koki to greet him and his birthday like he does every year...shouting ‘Happy Birthday Kame-chan!’ and trying to hug the very oxygen from his lungs. He didn’t mind though, Koki was the only person that could get away with such actions not just because Koki was great at martial arts. But because Kame has always had a soft spot for the guy who most people deemed scary and was introduced to the juniors in this fashion due to the way he dresses and fronts himself. Kame found it cute, alluring almost.

But when Koki walks into their dressing room, knowing its Kame’s birthday and what Kame expects to get, and doesn’t do the very thing that Kame was really looking forward to getting...he can’t help but be confused and hurt at the same time. Little does Kame know, Koki has something planned for Kame later and he wants Kame to think that he forgot it what today was.

“ Hey guys!” Koki says as he walks into their dressing room.

Everyone chorused a morning greeting back, except Kame. Noticing this Koki asked the younger guy what was wrong, as an answer Kame just shrugs and heads off to his photo shoot which was the only thing that was in his schedule for the day. At first he thought it was a typo or something but when he seen that Koki’s schedule only had one interview scheduled for the day, which was definitely odd...especially since Koki now shares Kame’s work load.

“ What’s up with Kame?” Ueda asks Maru, noticing how dejected Kame looked when he left.

“ Yeah, usually he’s hanging off of Koki and giving off this air of ‘he’s mine...touch him and die, unless you’re Yuichi then its okay’ vibe....and he’s not. Is he sick or something?” Junno asks, while everyone’s eyes ask quite clearly ‘when did he get so in tune with his surroundings’.

“ He’ll be fine, he just thinks I forgot it was his birthday and he was expecting me to do what I do to him every year.” Koki says.

“ Yeah while the rest of us already greeted his birthday, Koki has something special planned for Kame after they’re done here. Which is why he’s acting like its just another normal day for him and why their work schedule is so free today.” he explains to Ueda and Junno.

“ Well, I have an interview to do. Later guys.” he gets to the door when Maru says...

“ Call me and let me know how it turns out.” Koki nods and leaves.

“ So, Johnny actually granted Koki’s request about the schedules?” Maru nods, “ When I tried that...he told me that he couldn’t do it.” Ueda said in reference to Maru’s birthday last year.

“ Oh come on, Uepi, you know full well that those two being counted among Johnny’s favorites isn’t anything new.” Junno says gently before they get back to what ever various things they had to do that day.

Later that day Kame gets a text from Koki, telling him to meet him outside of JE in an hour. Kame sends one back agreeing and finishes his shoot with a little more bounce in his step. An hour later he’s outside waiting for Koki to show up. Koki shows up and tells Kame to get in, he does and Koki drives them to the first of two of Kame’s birthday surprises.

“ Where we going, Koki?” Kame asks, he’s still upset from this morning.

“ You’ll see.” Koki says as they pull into the venue where Laruku was giving a concert. Kame has been wanting to go, but when he tried to get tickets...they were sold out. Which is evidence of how popular L’Arc is.

They get there and with Kame blindfolded, Koki leads him to the concert hall.

“ You can look now.”

Kame removes the fabric from his eyes and stares at the sign above his friend’s head. He looks at Koki who just shoves a ticket into his hand, on the ticket he reads the name of Hyde’s band.

“ How did you get these, Koki? I tried for weeks but every place was sold out.” his eyes lit up like a child at Christmas.

“ Easy, I have kept in touch with Hyde and Ken ever since they were on CKT and when I told them that your birthday was coming up and that you were trying to get tickets but never had any luck, Hyde got me two tickets for their last concert here in Tokyo.” Koki explains pulling Kame inside.

After Hyde and the band wished Kame a ‘Happy Birthday’ they got their concert going. It was the best concert Kame’s ever been to and he’s starting to think that maybe, just maybe, Koki didn’t forget about him. Three hours later and after hanging out backstage with their friends from L’Arc, Koki drags Kame to his favorite restaurant for a late dinner. It was kind of a pricy place to eat, which just shows that Kame as an eye for the extravagant.

When they get there, Koki and Kame are ushered to a private table. They are given menus and after they order their food, Koki makes sure to order Kame’s favorite wine as well, Kame turns to Koki...

“ That was a great concert Koki, I had fun.”, their food shows up and they start eating, “ Um Koki, what day is today?” he asks hoping Koki will, at least, acknowledge that it is in fact his birthday.

“ I’m glad, I had fun too. Its only Wednesday...why?” Koki asks, only pretending to be confused.

“ Oh...nothing, I was just wondering.” Kame says sadly.

Koki pays while Kame’s in the restroom. They get in the car and Koki takes Kame back to his place for the end of Kame’s birthday surprise. Kame tells Koki to just take him home, but Koki pulls him upstairs and after unlocking his front door, he shoves Kame inside despite the younger guy’s protests.

Kame just sighs when Koki tells him to remove his shoes and to go in the living room. He does as he’s told and goes to wait in the other room, while Koki hangs up their jackets and leaves his own shoes by the door. Smiling to himself, Koki decides to ease his friend’s broken heart and flips on the lights. After Kame’s eyes adjust to the lights, he looks around Koki’s living room...what he sees takes his breath away. There’s a banner with “ HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAME-CHAN!!” strung the length of Koki’s patio window. There were over a dozen balloons tied to various objects around the room, and a large box sitting on the coffee table.

“ Koki...you did...this is...” Kame tried to express his feelings but his voice got stuck in his throat, his words constricting his vocal chords. He couldn’t help it as his eyes started to tear up, he had honestly thought that Koki forgot about his birthday and that the concert and dinner was only them hanging out as usual, boy was he ever wrong.

“ Happy Birthday Kame.” He says as he brings a chocolate cake with strawberry icing, from the kitchen and places it on his dinning room table. He lights the 26 candles on the cake and calls Kame over. “ Make a wish.”

Looking at the cake on the table, then back to Koki, he closes his eyes, makes a wish and blows out the candles on his cake. Kame straightens up and Koki finally gives Kame the birthday hug he had been wanting all day today. Koki hands Kame a knife, and with knife in hand, he cuts two slices of his cake and hands one to his friend.

“ I know you thought that I had forgotten what today was and I’m sorry for making you think that I could ever be so cold, but if I didn’t....it would’ve ruined my plans.” Koki says as he takes their plates away.

Kame was about to respond when he hears a loud bark coming from the box on the coffee table, curious he goes over and sees that the box has holes in it.

“ Koki...why is..” he calls.

“ Open it.” Koki tells him, coming back in from putting the cake in the fridge.

Kame opens the box and sees the cutest little miniature black poodle, staring up at him and wagging his tail rapidly back and forth. He picks the little dog up and sees a collar around its neck, the tag reads: We r n luv w/u, R u n luv w/us 2?, he hugs the little dog and puts him in his lap as Koki joins him on the couch.

“ I knew you wanted to get another dog, and when I seen that little guy, I thought he would be the perfect match for you and Ran-chan. His name...” Kame shuts him up.

“ Thank you Koki, for everything. You were right, I did think you had forgotten and that the concert and dinner was just us hanging out as usual. When you didn’t shout happy birthday and hug me this morning my heart broke. But I love this birthday the most out of all the previous ones spent with you.” he says causing Koki to blush. “ In answer to the collar, yes Koki, I’m in love with you guys too.” Kame leans in and presses his lips to Koki’s.

Koki puts the little dog on the floor and asks, “ Did you get your wish?”

As answer Kame hauls Koki to his feet and crushes their mouths together. Kame licks Koki’s bottom lip asking for entrance. He parts his lips enough for Kame to slide his tongue in and deepen the kiss. Moaning, Koki guides Kame towards his bedroom, stripping each other of their clothing as they go. Once inside, Koki lays Kame on his bed and starts kissing down that delectable, swan-like neck he loves...leaving a light love bite on his collar bone. He travels further south, licking and nipping the taught skin while his fingers pinch and tease Kame’s nipples, causing Kame to moan and arch his chest up to meet Koki’s.

“ Hey Koki?”

“ Hmm?” Koki was almost asleep.

“ What is my new dog’s name?”

“ Jerri. That way when you run his and Ran’s name together, it reads as women’s underwear.”

“ Pervert.” was all Kame said before drifting off to sleep after having the best birthday he’s ever had and will ever have.

Koki just chuckles lightly and follows his partner into dreamland, after sending a text to Maru telling him that everything went just has the birthday boy wished.
