Title: The Sacred Wishing Jewel

Summary: Koki is a 22 year old human guy, living a normal but unsatisfied and restless life, gets pulled into Japan's feudal past by an otherworldly creature, where he crosses paths with a dog like half-demon named Inu-Kame. There he discovers his past and future and that not all legends are the work of the imagination. Can ancient history give Koki the answers he's looking for and settle his restless heart? Will price be too high to pay for such answers and will he be able to bare the cost? 
A/N: Later chapters Koki and only Koki, will start calling "Inu-Kame" just Kame, everyone else will still refer to him as 'Inu-Kame'






“ Myoga?” Inu-Kame asks.


“ Lord Inu-Kame, I’m glad I found you!”  he says jumping on the nearest body, which just happen to be Koki.


“ Ow! What the hell?” Koki says, slapping the back of his neck, unfortunately he missed.


“ Mmmm....humans are tasty.” the flea said puncturing the side of Koki’s neck causing Koki to flinch, and chase the flea again. Unsuccessful at catching it.


“ Hey! Get off of him.” Inu-Kame says, annoyed he picks Myoga off Koki’s neck. “ Don’t drink from him again. Now what do you want?”  they keep walking.


Its not until they get back to the old Priest’s house that Myoga tells them why he was looking for Inu-Kame.



“ So someone’s trying to break into father’s grave? So why did you come all the way here?” he asks the flea.


Only Myoga didn’t answer, in fact he was nowhere in sight. It wasn’t until Koki said, ‘ouch’ and smacked his neck did they know where he had gone off too.

“ I think ‘this’ belongs to you, InuKame.” he says annoyed dropping the flea on his hand.


“ I thought I told you to stop drinking from him....anyway, so instead of guarding his grave like you said he told you to do, you ran away.” InuKame says, squeezing the flea between his thumb and index fingers.


“ Your father?” Koki says.


InuKame says nothing other than he never knew him. The Priest explains, even though InuKame knows who he is.


“ His father was a great Dog Demon who claimed the western lands as his domain.”


“ He was a glorious and powerful demon, who had the most delicious blood.” Myog interjects.


“ Then what about his mother?” Koki asks.

“ Shut up! She died along time ago!”

“ She was the fairest of all the...” InuKame squishes the flea before leaving.

‘ Did we offend him, I only asked about his mother. Wait if he’s a half-demon then she must’ve been a human woman. So then he‘s half-human too’ Koki thinks as InuKame leaves, feeling his heart do a funny sort of flip.


Sighing Koki gets up and follows the half demon out the door. Needing to clear his own head, and to get away from that wretched flea demon, he goes for a walk. On his walk he just happens to walk by the very tree InuKame’s taken refuge in. Sensing that he wants to be alone, Koki starts walking, all of a sudden he’s taken hostage.

‘What the...? What was that?’ InuKame thinks as he hears the bushes rustle. Paying it no heed, he turns his gaze back to the view in front of him. But as he does he notices the cap that Koki came back wearing. Thinking that’s odd as Koki mentioned that it was his favorite cap and that his brother gave it to him, he hops down and goes to investigate. Picking it up he sniffs it, recognizing the demon stench mixed with Koki’s own...more pleasant one -though this he’ll never admit to liking- he follows the trail into the woods.


‘ Now where did he get off too?’ InuKame wonders as he follows Koki’s last known direction.


Groaning, Koki wakes up in a clearing 20km from where he started. Looking around he wonders how on earth he got here. His brain might be a little fuzzy still but he even knows someone had to bring him here, but the question was who did it. He stands and starts walking back in what he hoped was the way back to the village, only to run into InuKame.



“ You dropped this. Who brought you here?” InuKame says handing Koki back his hat.


“ Thanks, I’m not sure. One minute I was walking away from the tree you were perched in and the next thing I know, I woke up in that clearing over there.”


“ Well, well..if it isn’t my mangy half-brother. Still trying to fit in with humans, I see.” Sesshomaru grabs Koki and goes to throw him, for no reason other than he hates humans.


“Leave it to father to hide the location in a place where even the keeper can’t see it.” he says as InuKame blocks his brother’s attack.


“ Brother? He has a brother.” Koki says to himself.


“ Sesshomaru! What do you want?”

“ The location of our father’s grave and what’s rightfully mine. Now hand it over!”

Sesshomaru grabs InuKame by his throat and sticks his finger in the half demons eye, pulling out a white pearl as blood pours from InuKame’s eye. Sesshomaru drops InuKame to the ground and opens the gateway to their father’s grave.

“ Are you alright?” Koki asks.

“ Now that I know where his grave lies, I can finally get my hands on Tetsusaiga.” he says and goes through portal.

“ Let’s go InuKame!” Koki goes to follow the demon.

“ Koki...what are you doing?”

“ Well, I have this thing against demons trying to kill me and if he’s going to be in our way....” he says.

Koki and InuKame follow Sesshomaru through the portal to the bone yard where their father was buried. The trio see the sword stuck in the ground in the center of what appears to be an arena made entirely out of bones. Sesshomaru walks over and tries to pull the sword from the ground, but not even with his full demon strength can he pull the sword up.

“ InuKame...don’t let him get his hands on that sword.”  It was Myoga.

“ Myoga?! I thought you ran away?” Koki asks.


“ Why?” InuKame asks.

“ Because he already has one, Tensagia, which allows the bearer to bring back a 100 souls from the dead, its a powerful sword in its own right and needs a powerful demon to suppress it. Not only that, he’s not meant to wield Tetsusaiga, InuKame. That sword belongs to you, if your brother get his hands on both swords...I don’t even want to think of the out come. Now, I’m running away.” he says and does just that.


“ You already have one, this sword’s mine!” InuKame shouts, and comes over and tries to pull the sword from the ground, but not even InuKame can dislodge it.


As the two brothers start battling over ownership of the sword in question, Koki walks over and just lightly touches the hilt. It moved...he touches it again and winds up by doing what a full fledged demon and his half demon companion couldn’t.

“ Uh InuKame....” Koki says turning around.


“ He pulled it out...he’s only human.” InuKame says.


“ If the great Lord Sesshomaru couldn’t pull it out....and the flea bitten half breed couldn’t pull it out, then how can a human by pass the spell and take it?” Sesshomaru’s underling Jaken asks.


“ Give it to me!” Sesshomaru says appearing in front of Koki.


“ It doesn’t belong to you!” Koki shouts.

“ Give him the sword! Its not worth your life!”

“ It doesn’t belong to him! Its your’s and you know it, I’m not going to allow some mangy dog take something that by rights belongs to you, InuKame!”

“ Don’t be an idiot, Koki!”

“ Still hanging around humans, I see. You seem to love him, you even indulge him? You must, your patience with him atonishes me.” Sesshomaru remarks. “ I don’t have time for this nonsense.”


“ Leave him alone, he’s not a part of this!”


With his sights set on Koki, Sesshomaru loses interest in his brother. “ Oh but he is, just by merely being your companion” he turns back to Koki, “ What are you that could pull this sword so easily, doesn’t really matter though, say hello to my poison claws.” he reaches out to touch Koki.


Koki, still holding the sword in front of him, glares daggers at Sesshomaru as he sinks into the bones under his feet. InuKame runs over and tries to grab his hand but he’s too late, Koki’s gone.


“ Oh so he was human after all, oh well.”


“ KOKI!!”

“ Why so angry InuKame? There’s a million other guys like him.”


“ You’ll pay for that...this time I’ll rip your bowels and heart from your body!” He charges and this time his claws make contact.

“ What the...a minute ago he couldn’t even touch him. What’s going on?” Jaken wonders.



Sesshomaru and InuKame are fighting when something gains their attention.


“ Man, for a minute there I thought I was a goner.” Koki says pulling himself up out the melted bone that was his tomb.


“ The barrier must’ve protected him” Sesshomaru thinks.


“ Here. Well get to it then.” Koki holds the sword out for InuKame to take it, he takes the sword.


“ Let us see what a half-breed like you can do with the purity of Tetsusaiga....against the equal purity of..Sesshomaru.” he says, changing into a very large demonic dog.


“ Holy hell...he’s..” Koki starts but gets cut off.

“ He’s back in his true form that’s all, but now its going to be his dead form now.” InuKame growls attacking his own brother, which brought back very painful memories for Koki, of brother against brother.

His attack makes contact but it didn’t even leave a mark. Frustrated, he attacks again only to have to dodge his foe as he tries to squish him like an insect. At the same time Koki dodges the big dog’s tail as whipped by his head, missing him by inches.


“ Watch out!” Koki shouts trying to distract Sesshomaru, only to be pushed back by InuKame.


“ Look, I’m strong enough to survive his attacks. You can be turned into pile of human jelly in any minute.” he says.

“ But you got your father’s sword. I believe in you, don’t you have faith in yourself?” They dive out of the way of the demon’s massive teeth and falling bone debris.

“ How can you be so optimistic?”

“ You mean...you’re giving up?” Koki asks, his eyes turning sad all of a sudden.

‘Shit! I upset him’ he thinks before saying, “ I meant you should shut up and let me protect you!”  
“InuKame...”

“ Just stand there and watch for once.”

He goes back to where his brother was waiting for him. All of a sudden he feels the sword pulse and hears something like a beating heart coming from the blade. ‘Did I just hear what I thought I heard?’ Koki thinks as the battle resumes.

“ The sword its..” InuKame starts but Myoga finishes his thought.

“ Its the sword’s true form, InuKame, its made from your father’s fang. You must have faith in its demonic powers and never, I mean never let that sword out of your hands.”

“ I thought you ran away?”

“ Well, I did. But I had to tell you that and now I’m off.” he jumps off and disappears.

Smiling and feeling the power that of the sword flowing through his body, he charges his brother again.

“ Good bye, dear brother!” He shouts, slicing into the demon’s leg at the shoulder.



“ L-Lord Sesshomaru, wait for me!” Jaken shouts as his master howls and disappears.


InuKame just drops to one knee still holding his sword, tired and out of breath. Koki comes running over since InuKame landed a good 10ft from where he started.


“ You did it! I told you could do it, InuKame! Are you okay?” he asks, placing his hand on the half-demon’s shoulder.


“ Haha...thanks old man, you left quite the heirloom behind...” he starts only to have Myoga cut in.

“ Its not just the sword, but the man who wields it! I never doubted you for a minute.” he says landing InuKame’s shoulder.

“ Except when you ran away screaming?” Annoyed he flicks the flea from his shoulder.

Koki looks down and sees the white pearl sitting amongst the bones of the dead, he picks it up and puts in his pocket, they head back to old Master Takahashi’s place. Its mid afternoon when they walk through his front door.

“ So..this white pearl was the location of InuKame’s father’s grave, huh? But how were you able to draw the blade, could it be that you’re more than a mere mortal guy?” the old Priest asks.

“Hmm....Could it be....that he was able to draw it because he is a mere mortal? The Tetsusaiga is a magical blade, made by m’lord’s father to protect his beloved. M’lord’s mortal mother. The Fang of Steel can’t be drawn unless its used to protect a mortal!” the flea explains.


Koki thinks back to what InuKame said right before the sword changed. Its when he said that he should shut up and let him protect Koki, that the sword was able to cut into anything.

“ So that means that Sesshomaru, who never had a single good thought about humans could never use his father’s fang...no matter how badly he desires its power.” Koki thinks as he heads off to find InuKame. He finds him sitting in a tree not far from the old man’s house.

“ Cursed blade...why did you have to turn back into a rusty, old stick?” he grumbles as Koki stops under the tree.

“ InuKame?”

“ What?”

“ Do you want me to teach you? How to use Tetsusaiga, I mean?”


“ Talk.” InuKame jumps from the tree.

“ Its easy. All you have to do is to promise to always protect me.” Koki smiles, though he does have a feeling on how this conversation will turn out.

“ What are you going on about? Who said anything about always protecting you.”


“ You said you would back at your father’s tomb!” Koki shouts.


“Listen Koki, once I get all the shards to the Jewel I will become a true demon and with this thing I can cut down all those that stand in my way of obtaining those shards. Why would I want to waste it on you?”  InuKame counters.


“ SIT!” Koki shouts as he walks away he says, “ I can’t believe I was actually starting to believe you had a good side.”


InuKame pops up from the hole he had created after hitting the ground harder than he on any of Koki’s previous sit commands, “ Hey! Where are you going? Show me how you use this thing! Come on!” He shouts but to no avail, Koki’s out of ear shot.

“ InuKame, you have go to do something about that temper.” Myoga says, he was watching from a near by clump of grass.

It would've been nicer as Junno with Sesshomaru, huh? Well, deal...its my story. lol *pats head*


I figured Junno made a better shippo,lol. But no alot of characters are going to keep their original names. I.e. Sesshomaru, Jaken, shippo, etc. The only ones that are going to be different are those that I can hopped real humans in for. I really couldn't do that with Sesshomaru.

That would fit, but Shippo is a child, and Junno is a man, granted Junno does love to play videogames... lol
