Summary: Koki takes Kame on a much needed vacation and Jin wrestles with his two year long crush on his friend/band mate. Once Jin finds out the truth, will he accept and allow the couple to go on another vacation if only to have a two week break from Jin.

Koki noticed how stress Kame’s been lately. He knew because Kame would always come home pissed or annoyed over nothing in general. When they were at work the tension showed in every line of Kame’s well defined features even though he was adapt at hiding his emotions from those around them, he couldn’t hide them from Koki, his partner, nor did he even try. Unfortunately Jin was able to read Kame almost as good as Koki could, instead of trying to help Kame decrease his stress level Jin always managed to increase his level of stress. Whether it was intentional or not only Akanishi knows. All Kame wants is a much needed vacation, with just him and Koki, and without Jin always trying to get in the middle for reasons only he knows but is hoping Kamenashi will pick up on.
It was the last night of their concert run and they were in hotel lobby tired but happy that their tour ended well without any injuries, now they were just waiting for their manager to show up so they could get their room keys.
“ Where in the hell is Manager-san?” Maru asked Kame, stifling a yawn as he does so.
“ How in the fuck would I know? Do I....”
“ Kame” Jin said in a warning tone, telling him to watch his temper but Kame ignores him.
“ look like his bloody keeper?” Kame snorts as he glares back Jin for not minding his own business.
“ Kazuya.” Koki said gently, motioning for Kame to join him.
Kame walks over to Koki, where he whispers something in Kame’s ear causing the younger guy to nod his head. Curious at Kame’s behavior he nudges Ueda in the ribs to ask him about Kame just as their manager finally makes his appearance, stopping to chat quietly with Koki and Kame before heading over to where the others are waiting.
“ Okay guys, there are only three rooms so you guys have to pair up.” Kame groans quite audibly, showing his annoyance. “ To avoid any fighting I have already split you guys up, Taguchi will be with Nakamaru in room 546. Akanishi and Ueda will be in 555 and Kamenashi and Tanaka will be in 539. Your room keys on the front desk and be up by ten tomorrow and the rest of the day is yours.” He finishes and leaves.
Only when their manager leaves does Jin voice his displeasure and annoyance at how the rooms were divided up, not that he has anything against Tatsuya in general, its that ever since he rejoined the group not once has he been able to bunk with Kame in the best room out of the three, its always been Koki or one of the other members before their manager started pairing them up. For some reason the fact that Koki’s always sharing Kame’s room annoys the hell out of him, it's known to almost everyone in the group,that Jin’s had a crush on Kame for the last two years but he’s always been to afraid to confess.
“ Why is it that ever since this tour started that our room mates were always chosen before hand?” He asks, glaring at how happy Kame’s become all of a sudden. Kame doesn’t notice as his back is facing Jin and Koki’s to absorbed in his conversation with Kame and Junno to pay attention.
“ Why does it matter, Jin?” Ueda asks. Jin just shrugs.
“ You ready Kazu?” Koki asks across the room standing up to grab their room key.
Annoyed Jin snatches the key to room 539 before Koki can so much as take ten steps away from where he was sitting. He doesn’t care if he gets in trouble or not, he’s going to room with Kame whether anyone likes it or not. He pockets the key and after grabbing his bag he heads up to what is now going to be his and Kame’s room, he’s tired of Koki always hogging Kame’s attentions and affections for want of a better word.
“ Where did...” Koki’s confused, he knows their manager left the room key to his and Kame’s private suite on the front desk. “ Hey Ueda, you were standing here..did see you what happened to...” Ueda just nods at Jin’s retreating back.
“ Are we going or not Koki?” Kame asks coming over to see what’s taking so long.
“ Well we would, sugar, but it seems that Akanishi took our key...again. Hang on, I’ll be right back.” Koki says before heading up stairs after his band mate.
Upstairs in room 539:
“ Sugoii!!” Jin says speaking to no one in particular. Smiling to himself he drops his bag on the big bed, not realizing Koki’s standing in the doorway pissed as hell.
“ Ahem....nice room, ain’t it?” Koki says making Jin jump about a foot in the air, as Ueda and Junno stand at his shoulder out of Jin’s line of vision.
“ K-koki...you startled me.” He says as his heart comes down from his throat.
“ I want that key back, Akanishi. This isn’t your room nor is Kame your room mate.” he growls walking closer to his friend.
“ It is now, our manager just called and said he made a mistake in the room assignments. So sorry you get Ueda tonight. Besides, I need this room more than you do anyway. I plan on making Kame mine tonight and every night for the rest of our lives.”
“ Stop lying Jin, you’re bad at it. You still haven’t gotten over your school boy crush, I see. Kame’s not going to return your feelings nor will I allow you take advantage of him, like you tried to do the night we left Osaka. Now, I highly suggest you give back that key or I’ll break both of your fucking legs.” Koki’s temper evident in every syllable he spoke.
“ Oh and how would you know that Tanaka? I know Kame, he wouldn’t do that to me.”
“ I know Kame too. Better than you do in fact and I....” Koki’s cut off as Junno and Ueda walk in.
“ Give it up Jin. That key....NOW!” Ueda said and with Taguchi’s help, they pinned Jin to the bed while Koki extracted his room key from Jin’s jacket pocket.
After they let him up, Ueda grabs Jin by the collar and drags him down the hall to where he’s supposed to sleep. Junno grabs Jin’s stuff and after giving Koki a knowing wink he heads out after Ueda and Jin. Koki calls Kame telling him to grab their stuff and that he got their room back. Elated Kame grabs their bags and with Maru in tow, he heads up stairs to where his boyfriend was waiting for him.
“ Nice room Kame, can I hang out in here for bit before we go to bed?” Maru asks.
“ Yeah it is and you know full well you, of all people Maru, don’t have to ask that.” Kame says, while Koki just nods. “ Jin pulls another stunt like that one more time and I’ll break more than just his legs, why does he do that anyway? Does he have some sort of crush on me or something?”
“ Do you think we should....” Maru says but is cut off as Jin knocks on the door to their room.
No sooner does Koki open the door than his jaw and Jin’s fist make contact. Pushing Koki aside Jin storms in and demands to know why Kame doesn’t want to room with him like they used too, and why Koki gets all the special attention.
“ Koki are you okay, man?” Maru asks while Kame rounds on Jin.
“ What the hell is your problem, Akanishi? Is there some sort of law that says we have to share rooms while on tour and that I have to be around you all the time?”
“ Well no but...” he hates it when Kame gets like this, he can never yell back, unlike Koki who gives Kame the verbal fight he’s looking for.
“ Then what is going on with you? This isn’t the first time you pulled a stunt like this, ever since you came back from LA you’ve been like this...especially when Koki’s around. Not to mention the trick you pulled in Osaka, you know if I didn’t know any better..I’d think you had a thing for me.”
Koki and Maru just looked at each other, hoping Kame finally figured things out. Then they look back at their friends wondering what Jin was going to do next. What happens next surprises both Kame and Maru, while it makes Koki’s blood boil and the urge to beat Jin into the ground is stronger than it was earlier. Jin grabs Kame and forces their lips together, Kame, now being even more angry with Jin, shoves him backwards causing Jin to lose balance and fall on his ass.
“ What the hell?! Are you crazy?” Kame growls and at the same time stops Koki from putting Jin in the hospital. “ Koki stop, beating the crap out of Jin isn’t going to help.”
“ Now you gone and done it Jin, you might as well tell him the truth.” Ueda says from the door while Junno just nods.
“ You mean I was right? Jin...you...?” Kame was surprised. Of all the things that could’ve explained Jin’s behavior, he didn’t expect it would be that.
“ Yes, Kame. I have liked you for two years now and I never knew how to tell you, but when I came back and saw how close you and Koki had become and that he’s always getting the attention that I wanted, I became jealous every time...even now. I like you Kame and I know I can make you happy.” Jin confesses walking closer to Kame, not caring that Koki’s still standing behind Kame’s right shoulder.
“ I’m flattered, I really am. But I’m sorry Jin, I can’t return your feelings. You’re a good friend but to me that’s all you ever were and will be. Besides I’m dating someone already anyway, and about Koki I can’t help if we became best friends while you were gone. Even when we were Jrs we were always close, we just rarely ever showed it around others.” Kame explains gently without telling Jin that he’s been going out with Koki for over two years, long before Jin left the group for those six months.
Jin says nothing as he leaves the room and goes back to his and Ueda’s room. Kame, in turn, just keeps staring at the door that Jin left through as Ueda, Maru and Junno head down for dinner, leaving Koki and Kame alone. Koki wraps his arms around Kame’s slim waist and rests his head on the younger man’s shoulder.
“ Do you think Jin’ll be okay, Koki? Do you think we should tell him what the others already know?” Kame asks, slightly unsure if continuing to keep their friend in the dark is a good idea or not.
“ Yeah, he will. He just needs time, I think. We will when the time is right.” Koki answers. “ I think what hurt him the most was that you rejected him in the first place. He was sure that you would never do such a thing.”
“ Yeah I know, but I’m happy where I am. Even if we weren’t together, Koki, I still couldn’t give him what he wants. But enough about Jin, the first one down to dinner gets to top.” Kame says and dashes for the door.
“ Oi! Why you...” Koki takes off after Kame.
Kame takes the elevator while Koki takes the stairs, figuring that elevators have to make a few stops along the way and they were on the fifth floor after all. He makes it down the stairs and in front of the door to the hotel’s dining room just as Kame comes out of the elevator and rounds the corner, seeing Koki standing there smiling he asks...
“ How did you get down here so fast?” hugging Koki tightly.
“ I took the stairs, Kame. I figured that other people may get on or off and I knew you were hoping that I would wait for the next one to come along, giving you ample time to make here before me. Looks like I’m topping later.” he smiles lightly kissing his lover’s lips.
“ Yeah I guess you are. Let’s go eat...I’m starving.” Kame says with a slight pout as they head into the dining room to eat.
After an hour an half Koki, Kame, and Maru head upstairs leaving the other three down to finish dinner. The trio spend the next two hours talking about nothing in particular, really, when Jin walks by with Ueda and Junno. Jin just ignores them and shuts himself up in his room, Kame just sighs and leans back against Koki while his lover and Maru finish their poker game. Soon Maru leaves the couple alone in there room, while Koki goes to start the shower Kame sees a note slide under his door...its from Jin.
Being the curious guy he is, Kame opens the letter reads “ I love you, please Kame...please go out with me.” Sighing he just places it on the desk and heads into the bathroom. Ten minutes later they come out of the bathroom and that’s when Kame shows Koki the note Jin slipped under the door, while he just climbs in bed waiting for Koki.
“ Was he always this persistent?” Koki asks before throwing the letter in the trash.
“ Yes, he was. But enough about Akanishi,” Kame says pulling Koki down on top of him, “ you have something more important to attend too.” pressing his lips against Koki’s, causing Koki to help them both decompress all night.
Its ten in the morning when their alarms goes off and after a not so quick shower, they get dressed and as they’re packing Koki pulls out his surprise for Kame, since they have two weeks vacation coming up in a couple of days and Koki decided to take his lover away for a nice romantic trip..just the two of them. As hard as Kame works, he knows Kame deserves this some time away from his obligations and their friends, namely Akanishi.
“ Hey Kame?” Koki calls into the bathroom.
“ What?” Kame says walking back into the room, sounding more annoyed than he intended. He hates taking his moods out on Koki. Especially when Koki’s done nothing wrong.
Koki just raises an eyebrow in Kame’s direction, before forcing Kame in one of the chairs by the desk and starts rubbing his shoulders and neck. “ I’m sorry baby, my mood isn’t your fault...forgive me?”
“ Of course I do, love. We have two weeks vacation coming up, what do you want to do?” Koki asks running his thumbs up and down Kame’s neck.
“ I don’t know, Koki. All I know is that I want to go somewhere, where its just you and me and some really nice surfing spots.” he answers sighing happily as Koki works the tension from his upper body.
“ Well, how about here?” He shows Kame a travel brochure for the Maldives.
“ The Maldives? Wow Koki, but how did you....I’ve always wanted to go there! You know what, screw surfing...can we go here?” Kame asks, jumping up from the chair he was in.
“ Hahahaha.....I was going to kidnap you and take you there anyway.” Koki laughs as Kame hugs the life out him, just as the door handle clicks, thinking it might be Jin they pull apart only to see that its Tat-chan.
Koki immediately gets on the phone and starts making the necessary calls to the hotel and the airport. Kame finishes their packing while Ueda warns Kame about Jin’s next move and that its advisable to tell Jin before he does something really stupid.
“ Oh and have fun on your vacation, Kame.” Ueda gives Kame a wink before leaving them alone, just as Koki gets done.
“ That’s it Kazu. We’re all set. What did Ueda want?”
“ Oh nothing really just that Jin is going to ask me to join him for dinner at his place, alone with it just being the two of us, and that we should tell Jin about us already. So when do we leave?”
“ In three days, we just have to find someone to take care of the our animals and then we get to leave.” Koki said as they walk down to where the car was waiting to take them back home.
Three Days Later:
“ Here we are Kame.” Koki said as they walked through door of their hotel room. “ What do you want to do first.”
“ Its nice Koki, I’m already glad we came.” He says as he lays on the large bed. “ Now get down here, I didn’t get to taste those lips of yours the whole plane ride here.” Koki walks over, after putting their suit cases down, and allows himself to be pulled down onto the bed.
“ Are you wearing women’s lip balm again, Kame?” Koki asks licking his lips.
“ Yeah its honey and milk flavored, it helps to keep your lips soft. Taste good?”
“ Yeah it does.” Koki says before kissing his boyfriend’s lips again.
After a few more minutes of making out, Koki and Kame head out to explore their surroundings, and so Kame can do a little window shopping along the way. They decided to stop at one of the local restaurants for dinner and Kame was surprised that the food was actually moderately priced. They order and while they’re waiting for their food, Kame decides to rub his foot against Koki’s. Koki goes to grab Kame’s hand just as their food arrives, after thanking the waiter they start eating.
“ Oh my god....this food is delicious, Koki!” Kame exclaims.
“ Its really good, ne. Two weeks alone, just you and me. No work, no friends, and no annoying Jin trying to meddle in our business. None of that and I’m already relaxed, though I do miss our children though.” Koki says.
“ I know what you mean, baby. But I do feel bad for Jin at the same time, anyway, want to go water skiing in the morning? I saw some for rental.”
“ Sure. Anything you want to do is fine with me, as long as I’m with you I get to do everything I want to do.”
Ten minutes later they pay and decide to go for a walk on the beach, stopping at their room only long enough to put on some cooler clothes and change into their sandals. Fortunately the hotel was right on the beach so they didn’t have to go far, Koki slips his arm around Kame’s shoulders while Kame’s hooks around Koki’s waist. When they get to this rocky alcove, Kame bends down and picks up the prettiest sea shell he’s ever seen and gives it to Koki.
“ Its your’s, you found it...you keep it.”

They have about twenty different shells by the time they’re heading back to the hotel, Koki offered to make matching bracelets out of them, but Kame said that he was just going to put them in this glass box his grandmother gave him. They get inside their room and while Kame’s putting his shells in a small bag, Koki has room service bring up some of the biggest strawberries and chocolate. Once they change and climb in bed Kame teaches Koki the proper way to eat chocolate covered strawberries, when the fruit runs out Kame notices that there’s a bit of chocolate left over. “ For how long?” Jin asks, staring at the ground.
“ Two years.” Koki says walking over.
Jin just nods and climbs in his car and leaves. Kame and Koki stand outside long after Jin’s black sadan is out of sight. Kame shivers slightly as they head back up stairs to where the rest of their friends were waiting. Its past midnight when Maru, Ueda and Junno head home for the night, after cleaning up Koki and Kame get ready for bed.
“ Thank you for taking me to the Maldives, Koki, I had fun. When can we go back?” Kame asks laying in bed snuggled so close to Koki that any closer wasn’t possible.
“ Well, we have another two weeks off coming up next month and we can go then.” Koki suggests.
“ Sounds good. Well, good night Koki.”
“ Night Kame.”
Its not long before the couple sail off into dreamland, dreaming about what they would do on their next vacation.

“ Where did...” Koki’s confused, he knows their manager left the room key to his and Kame’s private suite on the front desk. “ Hey Ueda, you were standing here..did see you what happened to...” Ueda just nods at Jin’s retreating back.
“ Are we going or not Koki?” Kame asks coming over to see what’s taking so long.
“ Well we would, sugar, but it seems that Akanishi took our key...again. Hang on, I’ll be right back.” Koki says before heading up stairs after his band mate.
Upstairs in room 539:
“ Sugoii!!” Jin says speaking to no one in particular. Smiling to himself he drops his bag on the big bed, not realizing Koki’s standing in the doorway pissed as hell.
“ Ahem....nice room, ain’t it?” Koki says making Jin jump about a foot in the air, as Ueda and Junno stand at his shoulder out of Jin’s line of vision.
“ K-koki...you startled me.” He says as his heart comes down from his throat.
“ I want that key back, Akanishi. This isn’t your room nor is Kame your room mate.” he growls walking closer to his friend.
“ It is now, our manager just called and said he made a mistake in the room assignments. So sorry you get Ueda tonight. Besides, I need this room more than you do anyway. I plan on making Kame mine tonight and every night for the rest of our lives.”
“ Stop lying Jin, you’re bad at it. You still haven’t gotten over your school boy crush, I see. Kame’s not going to return your feelings nor will I allow you take advantage of him, like you tried to do the night we left Osaka. Now, I highly suggest you give back that key or I’ll break both of your fucking legs.” Koki’s temper evident in every syllable he spoke.
“ Oh and how would you know that Tanaka? I know Kame, he wouldn’t do that to me.”
“ I know Kame too. Better than you do in fact and I....” Koki’s cut off as Junno and Ueda walk in.
“ Give it up Jin. That key....NOW!” Ueda said and with Taguchi’s help, they pinned Jin to the bed while Koki extracted his room key from Jin’s jacket pocket.
After they let him up, Ueda grabs Jin by the collar and drags him down the hall to where he’s supposed to sleep. Junno grabs Jin’s stuff and after giving Koki a knowing wink he heads out after Ueda and Jin. Koki calls Kame telling him to grab their stuff and that he got their room back. Elated Kame grabs their bags and with Maru in tow, he heads up stairs to where his boyfriend was waiting for him.
“ Nice room Kame, can I hang out in here for bit before we go to bed?” Maru asks.
“ Yeah it is and you know full well you, of all people Maru, don’t have to ask that.” Kame says, while Koki just nods. “ Jin pulls another stunt like that one more time and I’ll break more than just his legs, why does he do that anyway? Does he have some sort of crush on me or something?”
“ Do you think we should....” Maru says but is cut off as Jin knocks on the door to their room.
No sooner does Koki open the door than his jaw and Jin’s fist make contact. Pushing Koki aside Jin storms in and demands to know why Kame doesn’t want to room with him like they used too, and why Koki gets all the special attention.
“ Koki are you okay, man?” Maru asks while Kame rounds on Jin.
“ What the hell is your problem, Akanishi? Is there some sort of law that says we have to share rooms while on tour and that I have to be around you all the time?”
“ Well no but...” he hates it when Kame gets like this, he can never yell back, unlike Koki who gives Kame the verbal fight he’s looking for.
“ Then what is going on with you? This isn’t the first time you pulled a stunt like this, ever since you came back from LA you’ve been like this...especially when Koki’s around. Not to mention the trick you pulled in Osaka, you know if I didn’t know any better..I’d think you had a thing for me.”
Koki and Maru just looked at each other, hoping Kame finally figured things out. Then they look back at their friends wondering what Jin was going to do next. What happens next surprises both Kame and Maru, while it makes Koki’s blood boil and the urge to beat Jin into the ground is stronger than it was earlier. Jin grabs Kame and forces their lips together, Kame, now being even more angry with Jin, shoves him backwards causing Jin to lose balance and fall on his ass.
“ What the hell?! Are you crazy?” Kame growls and at the same time stops Koki from putting Jin in the hospital. “ Koki stop, beating the crap out of Jin isn’t going to help.”
“ Now you gone and done it Jin, you might as well tell him the truth.” Ueda says from the door while Junno just nods.
“ You mean I was right? Jin...you...?” Kame was surprised. Of all the things that could’ve explained Jin’s behavior, he didn’t expect it would be that.
“ Yes, Kame. I have liked you for two years now and I never knew how to tell you, but when I came back and saw how close you and Koki had become and that he’s always getting the attention that I wanted, I became jealous every time...even now. I like you Kame and I know I can make you happy.” Jin confesses walking closer to Kame, not caring that Koki’s still standing behind Kame’s right shoulder.
“ I’m flattered, I really am. But I’m sorry Jin, I can’t return your feelings. You’re a good friend but to me that’s all you ever were and will be. Besides I’m dating someone already anyway, and about Koki I can’t help if we became best friends while you were gone. Even when we were Jrs we were always close, we just rarely ever showed it around others.” Kame explains gently without telling Jin that he’s been going out with Koki for over two years, long before Jin left the group for those six months.
Jin says nothing as he leaves the room and goes back to his and Ueda’s room. Kame, in turn, just keeps staring at the door that Jin left through as Ueda, Maru and Junno head down for dinner, leaving Koki and Kame alone. Koki wraps his arms around Kame’s slim waist and rests his head on the younger man’s shoulder.
“ Do you think Jin’ll be okay, Koki? Do you think we should tell him what the others already know?” Kame asks, slightly unsure if continuing to keep their friend in the dark is a good idea or not.
“ Yeah, he will. He just needs time, I think. We will when the time is right.” Koki answers. “ I think what hurt him the most was that you rejected him in the first place. He was sure that you would never do such a thing.”
“ Yeah I know, but I’m happy where I am. Even if we weren’t together, Koki, I still couldn’t give him what he wants. But enough about Jin, the first one down to dinner gets to top.” Kame says and dashes for the door.
“ Oi! Why you...” Koki takes off after Kame.
Kame takes the elevator while Koki takes the stairs, figuring that elevators have to make a few stops along the way and they were on the fifth floor after all. He makes it down the stairs and in front of the door to the hotel’s dining room just as Kame comes out of the elevator and rounds the corner, seeing Koki standing there smiling he asks...
“ How did you get down here so fast?” hugging Koki tightly.
“ I took the stairs, Kame. I figured that other people may get on or off and I knew you were hoping that I would wait for the next one to come along, giving you ample time to make here before me. Looks like I’m topping later.” he smiles lightly kissing his lover’s lips.
“ Yeah I guess you are. Let’s go eat...I’m starving.” Kame says with a slight pout as they head into the dining room to eat.
After an hour an half Koki, Kame, and Maru head upstairs leaving the other three down to finish dinner. The trio spend the next two hours talking about nothing in particular, really, when Jin walks by with Ueda and Junno. Jin just ignores them and shuts himself up in his room, Kame just sighs and leans back against Koki while his lover and Maru finish their poker game. Soon Maru leaves the couple alone in there room, while Koki goes to start the shower Kame sees a note slide under his door...its from Jin.
Being the curious guy he is, Kame opens the letter reads “ I love you, please Kame...please go out with me.” Sighing he just places it on the desk and heads into the bathroom. Ten minutes later they come out of the bathroom and that’s when Kame shows Koki the note Jin slipped under the door, while he just climbs in bed waiting for Koki.
“ Was he always this persistent?” Koki asks before throwing the letter in the trash.
“ Yes, he was. But enough about Akanishi,” Kame says pulling Koki down on top of him, “ you have something more important to attend too.” pressing his lips against Koki’s, causing Koki to help them both decompress all night.
Its ten in the morning when their alarms goes off and after a not so quick shower, they get dressed and as they’re packing Koki pulls out his surprise for Kame, since they have two weeks vacation coming up in a couple of days and Koki decided to take his lover away for a nice romantic trip..just the two of them. As hard as Kame works, he knows Kame deserves this some time away from his obligations and their friends, namely Akanishi.
“ Hey Kame?” Koki calls into the bathroom.
“ What?” Kame says walking back into the room, sounding more annoyed than he intended. He hates taking his moods out on Koki. Especially when Koki’s done nothing wrong.
Koki just raises an eyebrow in Kame’s direction, before forcing Kame in one of the chairs by the desk and starts rubbing his shoulders and neck. “ I’m sorry baby, my mood isn’t your fault...forgive me?”
“ Of course I do, love. We have two weeks vacation coming up, what do you want to do?” Koki asks running his thumbs up and down Kame’s neck.
“ I don’t know, Koki. All I know is that I want to go somewhere, where its just you and me and some really nice surfing spots.” he answers sighing happily as Koki works the tension from his upper body.
“ Well, how about here?” He shows Kame a travel brochure for the Maldives.
“ The Maldives? Wow Koki, but how did you....I’ve always wanted to go there! You know what, screw surfing...can we go here?” Kame asks, jumping up from the chair he was in.
“ Hahahaha.....I was going to kidnap you and take you there anyway.” Koki laughs as Kame hugs the life out him, just as the door handle clicks, thinking it might be Jin they pull apart only to see that its Tat-chan.
Koki immediately gets on the phone and starts making the necessary calls to the hotel and the airport. Kame finishes their packing while Ueda warns Kame about Jin’s next move and that its advisable to tell Jin before he does something really stupid.
“ Oh and have fun on your vacation, Kame.” Ueda gives Kame a wink before leaving them alone, just as Koki gets done.
“ That’s it Kazu. We’re all set. What did Ueda want?”
“ Oh nothing really just that Jin is going to ask me to join him for dinner at his place, alone with it just being the two of us, and that we should tell Jin about us already. So when do we leave?”
“ In three days, we just have to find someone to take care of the our animals and then we get to leave.” Koki said as they walk down to where the car was waiting to take them back home.
Three Days Later:
“ Here we are Kame.” Koki said as they walked through door of their hotel room. “ What do you want to do first.”
“ Its nice Koki, I’m already glad we came.” He says as he lays on the large bed. “ Now get down here, I didn’t get to taste those lips of yours the whole plane ride here.” Koki walks over, after putting their suit cases down, and allows himself to be pulled down onto the bed.
“ Are you wearing women’s lip balm again, Kame?” Koki asks licking his lips.
“ Yeah its honey and milk flavored, it helps to keep your lips soft. Taste good?”
“ Yeah it does.” Koki says before kissing his boyfriend’s lips again.
After a few more minutes of making out, Koki and Kame head out to explore their surroundings, and so Kame can do a little window shopping along the way. They decided to stop at one of the local restaurants for dinner and Kame was surprised that the food was actually moderately priced. They order and while they’re waiting for their food, Kame decides to rub his foot against Koki’s. Koki goes to grab Kame’s hand just as their food arrives, after thanking the waiter they start eating.
“ Oh my god....this food is delicious, Koki!” Kame exclaims.
“ Its really good, ne. Two weeks alone, just you and me. No work, no friends, and no annoying Jin trying to meddle in our business. None of that and I’m already relaxed, though I do miss our children though.” Koki says.
“ I know what you mean, baby. But I do feel bad for Jin at the same time, anyway, want to go water skiing in the morning? I saw some for rental.”
“ Sure. Anything you want to do is fine with me, as long as I’m with you I get to do everything I want to do.”
Ten minutes later they pay and decide to go for a walk on the beach, stopping at their room only long enough to put on some cooler clothes and change into their sandals. Fortunately the hotel was right on the beach so they didn’t have to go far, Koki slips his arm around Kame’s shoulders while Kame’s hooks around Koki’s waist. When they get to this rocky alcove, Kame bends down and picks up the prettiest sea shell he’s ever seen and gives it to Koki.
“ Its your’s, you found it...you keep it.”
“ Are you sure Koki?”
“ Very. The only treasure I want to take back with me, is the same one I came down here with.” He says with a smile as they explore the area and beach for more shells.
“ You’re cheesy, you know that?” Kame jokes causing his lover to pout slightly. “ But I love you anyway. Besides, I think if anyone else had said that to me I would’ve hit them.”
They have about twenty different shells by the time they’re heading back to the hotel, Koki offered to make matching bracelets out of them, but Kame said that he was just going to put them in this glass box his grandmother gave him. They get inside their room and while Kame’s putting his shells in a small bag, Koki has room service bring up some of the biggest strawberries and chocolate. Once they change and climb in bed Kame teaches Koki the proper way to eat chocolate covered strawberries, when the fruit runs out Kame notices that there’s a bit of chocolate left over. Smiling Koki coats his finger and runs it along his lover’s bare chest, Kame just looks at him.
“ Koki..what are...?” Kame starts but stops when he feels the older man’s tongue run up his chest and landing on his lips, with Koki’s tongue slipping between his teeth.

They took long walks on the beach every night and had lunch on the beach every afternoon. Soon it was time to go back to Japan, to where they had work and other commitments. It was the last day of their trip when Jin calls Koki’s cell phone, Kame had left his at home just so Jin wouldn’t bug him the whole time.
“ What is it Jin, we’re busy.” Koki says as Kame finishes packing. Koki packed the night before and tried to convince Kame to do the same but gave up when Kame started nipping at his ear and throat.
“ Its nothing.” Jin says angrily and hangs up.
“ What’s the matter, sugar?” Kame asks as he finally zips up his suitcase.
“ Oh Jin’s being a jerk again. Are you ready?”
“ Yeah lets go. Oh and when we get back, I think its time we had a talk with Jin.”
“ You’re right, I think we should too.”
They board the plane and head back home. Maru picks them up from the airport and takes them back to their apartment, luckily they decided to move in together a year after they started going out. They unpack, shower and decide to take a nap before their friends show up later to hang out. Its six in the evening when they hear a knock on their door, Kame lets them in and they spend the whole night talking about their trip, while Jin’s mood just gets worse. Maru starts telling Kame and Koki what they have been up too, when Jin storms out of the apartment..slamming the door as he leaves. Sighing Kame goes after him, he catches up to Jin at his car and asks him what’s the matter since he’s done nothing but glare at Koki the whole night.
“ Why Kame? Why won’t you go out with me?” Jin asks.
“ Because of Koki..” Kame starts as Koki comes down stairs to where his boyfriend and friend are. “ Koki’s my boyfriend and that apartment isn’t just mine, it belongs to him as well. Its like I told Koki, Jin, even if Koki and I weren’t together...I still couldn’t give you what you want from me, I just won’t ever feel that way about you. I’m....”
“ For how long?” Jin asks, staring at the ground.
“ Two years.” Koki says walking over.
Jin just nods and climbs in his car and leaves. Kame and Koki stand outside long after Jin’s black sadan is out of sight. Kame shivers slightly as they head back up stairs to where the rest of their friends were waiting. Its past midnight when Maru, Ueda and Junno head home for the night, after cleaning up Koki and Kame get ready for bed.
“ Thank you for taking me to the Maldives, Koki, I had fun. When can we go back?” Kame asks laying in bed snuggled so close to Koki that any closer wasn’t possible.
“ Well, we have another two weeks off coming up next month and we can go then.” Koki suggests.
“ Sounds good. Well, good night Koki.”
“ Night Kame.”
Its not long before the couple sail off into dreamland, dreaming about what they would do on their next vacation.

Jin's antics are hysterical--taking the key away trying to room with Kame.
