Summary: Kame's past before Koki came into his life comes back to haunt him. Ryo feels awful for the things he done to Kame, but will he ever apologize to him properly?
A/N: This is a side story tie in to my multi-chapter fic Sometimes Dreams Do Come True, I'm going for a two parter with this as I don't really want to make a serial out of it like I did for one of my other stories.
Seven hours go by and Kame still hasn’t heard from his lover and with his ex in town, Kame can’t help but worry about Koki. What he finds odd is not Koki working late, but the fact that Koki always calls and let’s his boyfriend know if he was going to be late. Kame wondered if Koki’s phone was dead so he called the veterinary hospital Koki worked at, but he didn’t get an answer on the line either. He knows that they have emergencies and they have patients that need one on one attention, but Koki would still take a two minutes out to let him know where he was. But he didn’t get a response for the past seven hours and by the time the clock struck midnight, Kame was asleep on the couch.
Koki finally walks through the door of their house at a quarter to one in the morning, tired, hungry and sad. He lost a patient today that they were trying to save from cancer and he really wants to feel Kame in his arms, but he knows he’s in trouble since he didn’t call his lover to tell him that he was going to be later than usual, that and Kame’s ex came to his work on Koki’s only break warning him that if Koki doesn’t leave Kame that he’s going to kill, not only him but Kame’s family here in the Tokyo as well.
“ Man, is it good to be home.” he yawns and stretches. Dropping his bag by the door he heads into the kitchen where he sees Kame’s note saying that his dinner is in the oven, just set the temperature to 375 degrees and let it heat it up for ten minutes. “ Kazu...I’m sorry. It was my night to cook after you had that big party to cook for all day.” he murmurs as he waits for his food.
Heading into the living room to watch tv, he sees Kame’s sleeping form laying on the couch. He creeps over and lightly kisses the top of Kame’s head, before turning away to head back into the kitchen, not wanting wake him up, when a hand finds his own and he’s being pulled back towards the couch.
“ Where were you, Koki?” Kame says sleepily.
“ I’m sorry, baby, I was at work all evening.” Koki answers, crouching down to be eye level with Kame, still not unlinking their hands.
“ I was worried, why didn’t you call me?”
“ My phone was dead and the phones at the hospital were ringing non stop, so I couldn’t use one of them.” Koki explains slightly annoyed, as Kame sits up.
“ I don’t know if you have been in the kitchen yet, but your dinner is in the oven.” Kame stretches and stands up, not failing to take note of Koki’s sudden change in tone.
“ I know. I saw it and its heating up right now.” He said in the same annoyed tone.
“ What’s your problem, Koki?”
“ Its nothing. Just leave me alone for a bit.” Koki walks away to eat the food Kame made for him.
Kame stops in the door way of the kitchen staring at Koki’s back, “ I understand your night was hectic and your emotions were high, but that’s no reas...” he stops when Koki turns and glares at him.
“ I’m going to bed, then. Night.” Kame turns and heads upstairs to bed, while Koki just sits down at the table and starts eating.
Koki, hearing the hurt in Kame’s voice, can’t bring himself to eat not, with his guilt is gnawing at his insides the way it is. He knows Kame understands how busy things can be for Koki at work, since Kame had to bring Ran into the hospital after she hurt her foot and they just happened to be really busy that day. Koki knows Kame’s work isn’t any less busier nor is it any less stressful and that this mess with Kame’s ex isn’t Kame’s fault either. He gets up and goes in search of his partner, he finds him with his back to the bedroom door. He quietly sneaks in and wraps his arms around Kame’s neck.
“ I’m sorry, Kazu. I shouldn’t take my stress, annoyance and anger out on you when you did nothing wrong. I know you don’t expect me to call every time I’m going to be late, because sometimes its just not possible. But I am sorry Kame.”
“ I know, its just that I was worried about you that’s all.” Kame turns to face Koki, “ There’s no telling what Koijiro may try and do to you. I just wanted to know if you were safe. You know I trust you completely, so I don’t demand that you account for everything you do or every one you hang out with. Besides, you’re just going to tell me when I ask how your day was anyway and if he never came back here hunting for me, then it wouldn’t be this much of a big deal for me. I love you Koki and I don’t want anything to happen to you or us.” He takes the chance and wraps his arms around Koki’s waist, feeling that Koki didn’t push him away he gives Koki the hug he’s been wanting to give him, since the guy came home.
“ I Love you too, Angel. I do understand and I trust you too.” Koki says reassuringly as he pulls back to lightly kiss Kame.
“ So did you enjoy your dinner? Its a new dish I had to make for that party we were paid to cater. Normally there’s peppers in it, but I know you hate them I left them out and just added a little more meat.” Kame asks.
“ Um, I didn’t finish it.” he grins sheepishly, “ My guilt wouldn’t let me eat until I made up with you.”
Smiling at his lover’s cuteness, Kame takes Koki by hand and leads him back down to his dinner. Back in the dinning room Koki finishes his food, but he’s only picking at it, clearly something else besides their fight is bothering him.
“ Hey, what’s wrong? I thought we were okay now?”
“ We are Kame, its just....you know that cat I told you about that had cancer?”
“ Yeah what a...no..don’t tell me the cat didn’t make it?”
Koki just nods, “ We did everything we could but I guess it was just tired of fighting and it just wanted to sleep. So at the owners request we stopped treatment and put her down, and that was my morning. When I was on my lunch break, your ex showed up and started threatening me and your family that’s still here. So that pissed me off and by the time five o’ clock rolled around it was one emergency after another. There were only two vets on call and I was running around doing things that I probably wasn’t ready for it, like helping with operations.” Koki explains as he finally finishes his dinner. Kame takes the plate when he’s done and goes to wash it, ignoring Koki’s protests of “ I’ll do it Kame.”, while Kame tells him to go up and shower and he’ll be up in a bit.
When Kame’s done he locks the doors and turns off the lights, before following Koki upstairs. When he opens the bedroom door he hears the shower running in the bathroom, he goes in and brushes his teeth, making sure to poke his head around the curtain to warn his lover he’s turning the faucet on. Kame gets done and climbs into bed just as the shower shuts off, since they both have tomorrow off, Kame shuts off their alarm clock and lays there waiting for his lover to come out. Koki comes out a few minutes later towel drying his hair, but the only thing Kame notices is the way every muscle in Koki’s well trained body glistens in the moonlight from the water that Koki failed to wipe off and it causes his mid section tighten, as he licks his lips. Doesn’t Koki realize that image is bad for Kame’s health. Seeing Kame staring at him, he smirks before he throws the towel in the laundry pile, shaking out his long black hair..causing Kame to grip the bed covers unconsciously.
“ So you like what you see, do you?”
“ Y-yeah.” Kame swallows as Koki’s weight comes down on top him and Koki spends the whole night giving Kame his undivided attention.
Its around noon when the lump under the covers starts stirring and shifting around, Kame swears that him and Koki have to be the only couple on the planet that sleeps the way they do, with one using the other as a pillow. But this time its Kame who’s laying on top of Koki, usually its the other way around.
“ Hey lover, have fun last night?” Kame whispers, nipping the older guy’s ear.
“ You bet I did.” Koki smiles, “ Wait...how did you get up there? Usually I’m laying on your back.” he was slightly confused, pleased but still confused none the less.
“ Not sure. I’m pretty sure we fell asleep with me laying my head on your shoulder and then you wound up on top me as you always do. But I like it here, unless you want me to move?” Kame asks, he was slightly confused as well.
“ Nah..just let me roll over.”
Kame shifts his weight so Koki can roll over onto his back, allowing Kame to lay down on his chest and abdomen. Sighing contentedly Kame gives Koki a rather lustful and passionate kiss that sends rivers of electricity through their veins and nerves, making them both hard again. Which tells Koki that its round two and Kame’s topping, whether it was still Koki’s turn or not. An hour later as they drift into light slumber, still coming down from their high, Kame’s phone goes off. He reaches for his phone, looks to see his ex’s name and hits the ignore button, before answering Koki’s questioning look about why he didn’t answer it.
“ Who was...?”
“ My ex, who else?” Kame cuts Koki off mid question
“ He’s determined, I’ll give him that. But he’s never getting you back from me, Kame, and if he kidnaps you then come hell or high water I will track you down and then kill him for taking what willingly belongs to me. Oh and dinner was good last night, thanks for cooking even though it was my turn.”
“ I know you will, baby. You’re welcome and I’m happy that you liked it, since I wasn’t sure if you would or not. You can make it up to me by making dinner tonight and the next night we’re both off at the same time.” Kame smiles and drags Koki to the shower.
After changing and a lunch, they head to the combini where Ryo works to pick up Shuuji since Ryo had to fill in for someone even though it was supposed to be his day off. Ryo sent a text to Kame’s phone just after noon to see if the couple could watch him for an hour or so until his co-worker comes in to relieve him. Koki, while not to thrilled to be doing Ryo favors of any kind, doesn’t mind helping out Ryo’s kid. He knows how much Ryo loves and adores his son, and he would rather spend his off day with a noisy four year old then see Ryo do something that even he knows Ryo will regret for the rest of his natural life.
“ Hey Ryo” Kame says, while Koki just nods.
“ Oh hi guys, thanks again for watching him for me. I really do appreciate it.” he says gratefully, before turning to his kid. “ Hey Shuuji, look who’s here.”
Turning to see who his daddy was talking about, Shuuji’s gaze lands on Kame and Koki. His eyes light up as he runs over shouting “ KameKo!” he hasn’t quite figured out Koki’s name...yet. Which was something Koki was determined the child will learn, namely cause he hates that nickname but as Shuuji is only four and cute to boot, Koki allows him to get away with it for the time being.
“ Hey Shuuji-kun!” Koki says and sweeps the child up before Kame could react.
Ryo hands Koki Shuuji’s car seat, Koki leaves the kid with Kame while he secures the car seat in the back seat of his car. He comes back just as Ryo hands over Shuuji's race cat bag with an extra set of pants in it in case they don't get him to the bathroom in time.
“ Don’t mention it, Ryo. We love watching him.” Koki says playfully hanging the boy upside down then righting him again, causing the baby to break out in laughter. “ Has he eaten yet or do we need to feed him lunch?”
“ He had lunch just before you guys got here. I’ll call you if I’m going to be late picking him up, but I should be done around four. Thanks again Kame and Koki.”
“ Don’t worry about it Ryo, you just take care of things here and don’t worry about Shuuji, he’ll be fine.” Koki says as he takes the kid out to the car, leaving Kame and Ryo alone.
“ Kazuya...about that guy...” Kame stops him.
“ Ryo, don’t worry about my ex. I’ll kill him myself before I let him harm your son.” Ryo nods as Kame walks to the door. “ Everything will work out for you two, I know it will. Just remember, at this age the only thing that Shuuji cares about is that you love him, he’s too young to understand how hard life is for the two of you.” Ryo smiles at that as Kame walks out to the car.
After throwing the bag in the backseat, he climbs in the passenger seat. No sooner does he sit down, than Shuuji says, “ Kameko chu!” causing them both to blush. Last time they watched the kid, they didn’t realize that Shuuji had caught Kame when he planted a light kiss on Koki’s lips in the kitchen. Ever since that day, he demands to see it again. “ You’re too young to see such things.” Koki says before placing his hand over the boy’s eyes and giving Kame a kiss.
Before pulling away he allows Shuuji to see him kiss the side of Kame’s head, satisfied the baby stays quiet for the rest of the ride. They take Shuuji to the zoo so he can see all the animals, no sooner does Kame get him out of the car, he starts pulling on Kame’s hand urging him to hurry up. They spend the next three hours looking at the animals, some they looked at a few times. After an afternoon snack and a stop at the gift shop, they buy Shuuji a stuffed tiger and Shuuji wanted to bring his daddy something home too. Koki asked him what he wanted to get him and the toddler pointed to a t-shirt with a picture of a tiger on it. They paid for the animal and shirt and left for home.
They got back to their house at three thirty and Kame took Shuuji and his new tiger up stairs to take a nap in the guest room, seeing how worn out he was from his big day. Coming back downstairs, Kame sees Koki eying the shirt Shuuji asked to buy for his papa...he was pouting. He comes up and hugging Koki from behind, he asks...
“ What’s with the pout, baby?”
“ When we were getting that toy and shirt, I forgot that mug and the dvd on monkeys I wanted to buy, you know the one that had the lion on the front of it. They only had one left when we walked into that store.”
“ Check the race car bag.” was all Kame said before vacating Koki’s shoulders.
“ Kame....you..” Koki grabs the bag and starts rummaging around until he finds what he’s searching for.
He opens the small box it came in and pulled out a tan coffee mug with a lion depicted on the front and the zoo logo surrounded by penguins on the back. He also finds not one but two new animal dvds he didn’t have yet. He looks up and sees Kame smiling at him.
“ You were...when did you get this?”
“ Right after you left to take Shuuji to the bathroom. I was just lucky that you accidentally left the bag with me, so I could hide it before you got back. There was only one left and I could see how much you wanted it, so I bought it for you. I knew you wanted that video on monkeys and I saw that one Siberian Tigers and I knew you didn’t have that yet, so I picked them up as well.”
“ Thanks baby, I love them.” he said grabbing Kame and hugging him. They go and sit on the couch with the baby monitor next to them so they can hear if Shuuji needs them for anything.
Its twenty after four when Ryo calls Koki and says he’s on his way to take his kid off their hands. Just as Kame’s ex starts blowing up his phone generally pissing him off as Shuuji calls for Koki. Koki gets up to see what the child wants while Kame blows up at his ex for trying to interfere in his new life. He hangs up just as Koki comes down with Shuuji in his arms.
“ So what’s wrong with him?” Kame asks as Koki puts him down to play with their dogs.
“ He had to use the bathroom and wondered if his dad was here yet.” As he watches Kame put some money in an envelope.
“ He’s not going to like that Kame.” Koki says as Ryo knocks on the door and Shuuji shouts “ Daddy!” and runs to the door trying to open it.
“ I don't care,Ryo needs the help and we're in the best position to give him some financial help.” Kame says slipping an envelope of cash into Shuuji's bag.
Kame lets Ryo in and he’s immediately tackled by his kid, who then proceeds to tell him all about his day.
“ Hahaha! I missed you too son. Sounds like you had fun.” he hugs his kid.
“ Look what KameKo bought me.” he beams showing Ryo the tiger. “ I got you something too.”
“ You did?” Koki motions for Ryo to open the diaper bag and as he pulls out the shirt, the envelope falls out as well.
“ Wow, thank you. You have good taste. I love it.” Ryo says as his baby bounces up down happily.
“ Yeah he wouldn’t allow us to leave unless he came back with something for you too. Don’t worry about the money for the shirt.” Koki says.
“ Daddy? What’s this?” Shuuji hands him the envelope.
Out of curiosity Ryo opens it and sees five million yen inside. His draw drops and he’s taken aback at how they’re treating him when he knows that Kame and Koki should hate him for what he did. But he never took the time to get to know what kind of people Kame and Koki really are.
“ I can’t take this, guys. Its too much.” he tries to hand the money back but they won’t have it.
“ Ryo, for once just bite your pride and admit that you need help with more than just child care. We won’t take it back.” Koki says.
“ Look, you need the money more than we do. You know who our fathers are and you know both Koki and I have more money than we know what to do with. There’s enough there to get you caught up on your bills and the two months of rent your behind on. I’m not trying to sound better or anything, I’m just trying to help you and Shuuji.”
“ I know I don’t deserve any of this, but thanks guys.” he says and puts the money back in the bag. “ Well, let’s go kiddo. Its time for your dinner and then you can tell me more about your trip to the zoo.” Ryo bids the couple fair well and takes his kid home.
With Ryo gone, Kame and Koki say a silent prayer being thankful for the life they were born into. They sit down to eat when Koki brings up the possibility of moving, catching his lover totally off guard.
“ I kept some of those pictures you showed me. Since you’re dead set on moving and you do have good taste in houses, why don’t we go and check some of them out on our next off day together?” Koki says, finally giving in to Kame’s desire to move.
“ You mean that Koki? Or are you just placating me so I will stop bugging you about it?” Kame asks suspiciously.
“ No, Kame I’m not just placating you. To be honest the idea has been growing on me lately and being the romantic person I am, I can see why you would find it romantic.” Koki says honestly.
“ Yay! I’ll call the realtors tomorrow while you’re at work and since I’m going to need something to do all day until you get home.”
They finish their meal in a pleasant silence, smiling at each other from time to time. Koki takes their plates away and goes to clean up the dishes, while Kame relaxes on the couch. Koki comes in when he’s done and lays on the couch with his head in Kame’s lap, Kame gently runs his fingers through the older guy’s hair while he finds something to watch.
“ I hate it when there’s nothing on tv.” Koki whines leaving it some stupid comedy program.
“ Well, there’s that new soccer game I got from Nino, we can make a challenge out of that. With same prize as usual, only difference is that the winner gets to decide on the location and type.” Kame says with a slightly devilish grin as Koki stares at his neck hungrily.
“ You’re on, baby.” Koki agrees and immediately starts the game.
He hands Kame his controller and they agree on a best two out of three. Unknown to the pair, Kame’s ex found out where they live and he’s spying on them from his car, using a pair of binoculars so he doesn’t get found out. Four hours in and Koki comes out the winner, winning the first and third rounds causing Kame to groan playfully as he climbs in Koki’s lap- they’re sitting on the floor- and nips at his throat.
“ Well, is the winner going to claim his trophy?” he whispers while rubbing Koki’s crotch. “ So, where and how?”
“ You stay here and I’ll be right back.” he moves Kame from his lap and goes to get blankets and pillows so the floor isn’t so uncomfortable for Kame’s back and neck. “ While I’m getting what we’re going to use, you can make us soft and comfy spot for me to ‘collect’ my prize, here on the living room floor.” he smirks and walks upstairs to find what he needs.
Five minutes later he comes back down just as Kame gets done building their love nest. Smiling,
Koki walks over and runs his fingers through Kame’s hair, kissing him passionately showing Kame to whom he really belongs. Kame starts removing Koki’s shirt, kissing and licking the older man’s throat as he does so, while Koki extracts the object and the lube bottle from his jeans pocket. With Koki’s shirt off and on the floor, he drops the items on the covers and pulls Kame’s head back up for another electrifying kiss and removing the rest of the hindering clothing from their bodies. Koki lays Kame down amongst the pillows and blankets and runs his hand down to palm his younger lover’s erection, causing Kame to growl and moan in the back of his throat.
“ Wh-what did you g-get?” Kame pants out.
“ First, do you trust me?” he asks, brushing Kame’s bangs from his face.
“ What? Of course I do.”
“ Good.” Koki chuckles and reaches for something Kame can’t see. “ look what I got.” He dangles a blindfold in front of Kame’s face.
Kame’s eyes shone with excitement and desire as he lifts his head high enough for Koki to wrap the fabric around his face, cutting off his vision, and to tie securely but loosely behind Kame’s head. Never having done this before, he can’t help but get a little freaked out from having his eye sight taken way temporally. Koki gives Kame time to adjust to the fact that his surroundings were cut off from his field of vision, while verbally reminding Kame that he’s still there and hasn’t left him like that. He nuzzles and sucks on Kame’s neck in the way he knows Kame will know its him and not anyone else, soon Kame’s relaxed again allowing Koki to continue.
Its a world of new sensations for him. Without his ability to see and watch what Koki’s doing, all he can do is hear and feel and it excites him, turning him on even more, and it scares him at the same time. But he trusts Koki and he has faith that Koki would not leave him in a helpless state. He finds it hard to think when he feels Koki’s tongue glide slowly down his chest, swirling over his right nipple, he never noticed that it was slightly ticklish until now. He feels a small, sharp pain on his left side when Koki pinches and tweaks his other nipple causing Kame to moan and arch into Koki’s chest. “ Koki....un...more..” Kame presses out, noticing the different levels of pressure he uses when he sucks Kame off. It felt weird at first, like little tiny invisible feet walking up and down his cock, but it felt wonderful at the same time. He runs his hand through Koki’s hair gently tugging on it, warning Koki to stop.
Heading Kame’s warning, Koki lets him go and runs his hand up Kame’s body as he reaches for the lube bottle. He pours a generous amount on his finger as before returning his attention back to his lover’s over heated and sweaty body.

Smiling Koki removes his fingers, causing a small whine to admit from Kame’s throat. He spreads Kame’s legs further apart and wraps one leg around his waist, while laying the other one on his shoulder.
“ You ready, baby?” Koki asks before pushing in.
Pretty soon they find their rhythm and the sounds of their love making fill the silence around them as Koki’s sweaty body slides against Kame’s. With only his sense of touch to provide his brain with essential feed back, the feeling of Koki’s dick moving in and out of his ass made him, if possible, harder and hornier than he has ever been in the whole time he’s been with Koki even before Koki wanted to do him blind folded.
“ Oh...Koki...harder...” Kame says as his heightened senses take him even higher. He thought Koki rocked his world in the bed room before tonight, this just adds to how good Koki really is in bed.
Not wanting to disappoint, Koki does as he’s commanded he shifts angles and pushes in harder, hitting a sweet spot for them both. Sensing Kame’s climax is near as is his own, he speeds up his thrusting. He wraps his free hand around Kame’s neglected cock and pumps his hands in time with the his hips as Kame’s pushes back to meet Koki’s own. Watching the whole scene from outside the couple’s living room window, Koijiro creeps away from where he was spying, accidently stepping on a small branch that was under the window. He didn’t realize that they never closed the window, he freezes for a second before high tailing it to his car and speeds off.
Kame, who still had the blind fold covering his eyes, heard the branch snap and a car speed away shortly after.
“ Koki...I think someone’s outside. I heard a branch snap and the roar of an engine.” He grips Koki’s hand. “ you don’t think?”
“ I don’t know Kazu. I’ll go check.” he says as he’s putting his boxers back on. He makes sure to remove the blind fold from his boyfriend’s eyes first.
“ Hang on, I’ll come with.” Kame pulls his own and with Ran in tow they head outside to inspect the property.
They go over to where Kame said he heard the snapping sound and seen the branch snapped in half as if something heave landed on it. That’s when Koki seen the mud tracks leading away from their house to the drive way. Luckily the grass and dirt by the window was still wet from when Koki washed their dogs that afternoon. Following the tracks to the middle of the drive way, Kame sees tire marks, like someone had accidently spun their tires trying to get away. Unknown to Koijiro, he had dropped his gold embossed hankerchief as he was trying to get his keys from his pocket before he was caught.
“ Koki, you don’t think he was here do you?” Kame asks.
“ I don’t know...its highly possi..” Koki’s cut off by Ran’s barking and the feel of paws on his leg.
Looking down, Koki sees an excited Ran-chan holding something in her mouth, her tail beating back and forth rapidly.
“ Hey girl, what did you find?” Koki asks kneeling down to the little dog’s level. Koki takes the object from Kame’s dog and shows it to his lover.
“ Does this look familiar, Kame?” Koki asks as he tells Ran to show him where she found it.
He follows the dog while Kame unfolds the hankerchief and sees his ex’s initials and business moniker etched in gold in the bottom right corner. He freaks out knowing that his ex now knows where him and Koki are living and the desire to move was stronger and more urgent than ever. Koki comes back over from the bushes where the hankerchief was found and he sees nothing but fear in Kame’s eyes.
“ K-Koki...he was here. He knows where we live and after what he saw through our window, I’m pretty sure he’s going to get worse.”
Koki just pulls Kame into his arms and tries to calm him down, more determined than ever to free Kame and himself from this guy’s presence in their lives. Its only when Kame returns the hug with a grip greater than his, does Koki wish, for the first time in his life, for someone’s death. He makes a wish on the moon and stars in the warm night sky for someone to take Koijiro’s life.
Taking Kame back inside, Koki calls the cops while Kame pulls on his jeans. After handing Koki his, he goes into the kitchen to make some very strong tea to help calm his nerves. The cops come and they tell the police what Kame heard and what they saw outside, and Kame was more than happy to hand over his ex’s hankerchief. With the promise that they will question the guy and look into it, they leave the couple alone. After the cops leave, Koki goes in and starts picking up their little nest but Kame stops him, telling him that he still wants to sleep down here despite what happened. Koki agrees and lays back down on among the pillows and blankets, only removing the ones that showed the signs of their love making. Its not long before they both fall asleep with their arms wrapped around each other.
A week goes by and the threats and stalking continue. They finally decide on a new place to live, with Kame giving in and agreeing to the house that Koki had his heart set on as soon as he saw that nice dolphin fountain in the middle of the curved drive way. He didn’t care what the inside looked like as long as this fountain was here, he didn’t care that they were stone animals all he cared was that they were dolphins, which were one of his favorite marine mammals, and he had to have this fountain and the house once Kame managed to pry him away from the damn thing long enough to actually look at the place. Kame had admit that inside had just the right feeling to it.
Kame was on his way home from Ryo’s place one night after babysitting so he could go to Yamapi’s birthday party. He just got done paying for his gas, since he had to stop and put gas in his car, when he’s forced into the back seat of the car next to his.
“ What the hell?!”
“ I told you that you belong to me, Kazuya and you always will. I own you..not that guy. Your my property and you will be punished for allowing someone else to have what has always belong to me...your body and your heart.” his attacker growls.
“ You never owned me, ass hole. Now let me go!” Kame yells and reaches for the door handle to dive out of the car.
“ You leave this car and I will kill him. You come with me and he stays alive.” he leers Kame. “ Your choice...your freedom or his life?”
Not wanting anything to happen to Koki, Kame just slumps back against the back seat glaring at his ex. Koijiro just smiles at Kame’s compliancy and continues to drive to a vacant house just outside of the city. When his captures attention turns back to the road, he takes his phone from his pocket and switches to vibrate, while taking note of his surroundings. He’s angry and depressed that he may never see Koki again all because of one bad decision when he was fifteen and now its come back to haunt him. Two hours later, they stop in front of a run down house and making sure to memorize the address as he’s dragged inside and thrown onto the mattress that was on the floor in one of the empty rooms.
“ Stay here and behave, I’ll be back shortly.” Kame agrees as his ex leaves. While he’s gone, Kame tries to call Koki.
Koki calls Ryo asking if Kame has left yet, since he should’ve been home three hours ago. Ryo says no and tells him what time he came back and what time Kame left.
“ I’m sure he’s fine Koki.”
“ I wish I could be for sure, but after the last encounter we had with his ex I can’t help but worry...Hang on I have another call.” He switches lines, “ Hel-”
“ Koki, I don’t have much time. He’ll be back soon, I’m sorry but in order to keep you alive I had to go with him. He said that if I didn’t then he would kill you and I...”
“ Kame! Tell me where you are and I’ll come get you. I understand why you’re doing this but I made a promise to protect you.”
“ But Koki...”
“ But nothing Kame! I will not allow him to run our lives and continue this hold he has over you..now please...tell me where you are!”
Kame knows this his past with this guy has to end and he doesn’t want to live anywhere that Koki’s not. He loves Koki like he’s never loved anyone and hearing the pleading in the older man’s voice, breaks Kame’s resolve and he gives him the address just as Koijiro comes back to the house.
“ Did you...Shit! He’s back..I have to go.” Kame says as the guy walks up to the door. “ Please hurry, I love you Koki.” he disconnects the call.
Koki switches back to the other line, “ Hey Ryo, that was Kame. That ass hole ex of his kidnaped him. He managed to give me his location, I have to get him.”
“ Koki..wait for me. I’ll be right there. I know you want him back, I do too. But you can’t go there alone, what if he has a trap set up or something.”
Knowing that Ryo could be right, he agrees. Ryo shows up ten minutes later with his kid, not having anyone to watch him.
“ Hey Ryo..Shuuji-kun. You ready?” Koki asks.
“ I was thinking, Koki, let me go after him...you stay here with Shuuji. Its dangerous enough for the two of us and as a father I can’t take my child into a situation like that.”
“ No, Ryo. I....”
“ Please Koki, we don’t have much time and besides I owe it to him. After everything I put him through when we were in school and because of my pride, I do feel guilty for my actions and I vowed to never raise my son that way. I never properly apologized and so let me go after him and as repentance for my actions. I owe it to not just Kazuya but to you as well, especially after everything you guys have done to help us out.”
Koki relents seeing that Ryo’s not pulling his chain and that he’s showing his true feelings for the first time since Koki’s known him. He gives Ryo the address and after saying good-bye to his son he leaves with a promise to bring Kame back with him. Koki takes the child inside and lets Shuuji show him the present he got from Pi on his birthday a few days ago. Koki and Kame were invited but they both had work that day and couldn’t go but they sent him a card in the mail.
Kame puts his phone away just as Koijiro comes back into the room. He orders Kame to eat but he’s just not hungry and he doesn’t trust the food that was put down in front of him, especially since they aren’t eating the same thing. He suspects that his ex did something to it and refuses to touch it, unaware that Ryo...not Koki...is on the way to rescue him.
“ You have changed, Kazuya. You were never this stubborn, I made sure of that. It seems I’ll just have to break you again.”
“ You can try but it won’t work.” Kame glares back.
He just laughs before tying Kame’s hands to the radiator and pressing him into the floor.
“ We’ll see about that.” he says before striping Kame of his vision the way Koki did, only he was rougher and hit him a few times before Kame would comply.
Knowing what was going to happen next Kame struggles under the guy’s weight as Koijiro starts removing his clothes and touching and licking Kame’s body. Instead of his brain giving in, it sends signals to his body telling it not to react, and that his lover and life partner, Koki, is the only one that it should react too.
-Come on Koki, hurry!- He prays silently, as Ryo pulls into the drive way.
Its not long before Ryo’s getting out of his car and running up to the house. He doesn’t knock, not wanting to alert the guy to his presence. He tries the door and finds that guy left it unlocked and slightly open, he tip toes inside and starts searching around for any signs of Kame. Its only when he hears Kame’s pleas of “ D-don’t do this, please.” as he walks by a closed door in the first floor hallway. He sends a text to Koki telling him to call the cops and send them over, he looks around for anything he can use as weapon when Koijiro’s voice floats through the closed door and into his ears saying “ I know you like this Kazuya. You’re mine remember, I don’t have to stop”. Ryo finds a baseball bat in the hall closet, he goes back to the room where Kame’s being held prisoner and barges in taking both guys by surprise, thankfully Kame still had his boxers on when Ryo came bursting into the room.
“ Why you...how did you get in here?” Koijiro asks outraged, charging at Ryo.
“ Let him go ass hole, he doesn’t belong to you!” Ryo says before hitting the guy in the head with the bat in his hands.
Koijiro falls to the floor in a heap from Ryo’s attack to the side of his skull. Panting heavily, he runs over to where Kame was laying. After seeing what the guy was going to do Koki’s boyfriend and the memory of the day when Ryo tried to do that very same thing, came flooding back to his brain. He was sick to his stomach over Kame’s ex and his own actions at the time.
“ Kazuya! Don’t worry, its me Ryo.” he undoes the blindfold from Kame’s face.
“ Ryo? What are you...where’s Koki?” he demanded.
“ Koki’s fine, he’s with my son. We were on the phone when you called, he had asked me if you had left yet. Then when you hung up, he told me where you were and I asked him to wait until I got there.” he explains as he undoes the ties around Kame’s wrists and hauls him to his feet. “ I know he promised to save you but I talked him into letting me come after you instead.” he says as Koijiro starts to stir while Kame finishes putting his clothes back.
Soon Kame sees the familiar lights of police cars as the cops rush the into the room guns drawn. Everyone’s held at gun point while Kame and Ryo explain what happened, just as his ex is being hauled to his feet. The officer in charge tells them to follow them down to the station to make a full report and to file charges against Koijiro for not only stalking but kidnaping and assault as well, noticing the marks on Kame’s wrists and the bruises on Kame’s face from where the other guy had hit him. Ryo calls Koki and tells him to meet him at the police station, he has a surprise waiting for him.
Twenty minutes later Kame is allowed to reunite with his lover after another hour an half of questions from the cops.
“ Kazuya!” Koki shouts and not caring who’s around them, he grabs Kame and pulls him into the strongest hug he can without hurting him, and starts kissing him for all he’s worth.
“ I never thought I’d see you again, Koki.” Kame says once Koki removed his tongue as the trio walk of the station, heading back to Koki’s and Kame’s house.
They pull up and Koki plays with Shuuji while Kame helps Ryo put the car seat in the back of his own car. Once its secure he signals for Koki to bring the child over and after saying his good-byes, Ryo straps his son in his seat. He straightens up and turns to face Kame, realizing its now or never, he looks at Koki who just smiles and nods his head slightly.
“ Hey, Kazuya. The reason main reason I asked Koki to let me rescue you is because I owed it to you. Its my way of trying to make amends for the hell I put you through in high school and when I saw that your ex was going to do the very thing I attempted to do at the time, I was sick to my stomach. I couldn’t believe that I was willing go so far to just be cool and win such a stupid game, that day in front of the restroom when Koki stuck up for you by telling me that I wasn’t your type and to leave you be....I realized shortly after Rina told me was carrying my child that he was right. I was the wrong person for you. You don’t have to believe me Kazuya, but I really am sorry for what I’ve done. Well, We’re going to get going now.” Ryo shuts the car door and moves around to the driver’s side.
“ Thank you Ryo for bringing me back to Koki. I wouldn’t have seen him again had you never showed up.” Koki pouts at Kame’s words because he did help. “ Don’t worry about that, I got over that and forgave you along time ago. Friends?” Kame asks, holding out his hand.
“ I would like that.” Ryo smiles and shakes Kame’s hand.
“ Take care of your kid and yourself, Ryo. When we get settled in our new place, we’ll give the directions so you can drop Shuuji off when you need to.” Kame said.
“ Yeah thanks again for bringing him back to me. I don’t what I would’ve done had something happened to Kame.” Koki says.
With that Ryo left, allowing the couple to have a private reunion party. Happy just to be back with Koki and their kids, Kame and Koki lock up the house for the night and head up to bed. Where Koki shows Kame how much he’s missed him and Kame’s just happy to be back in their bed, having Koki and only Koki, rock his world. The next day they find out that Kame’s ex is serving a life sentence for kidnaping, attempted rape and assault, and they couldn’t be happier. Kame’s just glad he can finally close that chapter of his life, and continue his new chapters with Koki.
Three weeks later they are finally moved in their new, smaller mansion. They even threw a house warming party with their friends that now included Ryo and Pi. It was past midnight when everyone finally left them to enjoy their new place and Koki, not being able to wait any longe, dragged Kame into their bedroom and where Kame spent the next hour showing Koki what its like to wear the blindfold and taking Koki on the same high as he took the night of their video game challenge.
“ Damn Kame!” Koki pants coming down from his as Kame pulls out and collapses on the bed next to him.
“ Now you know how much I enjoyed it, though we are not using it all the time or I’ll get bored with it.” Kame snuggles closer to Koki, pulling the light blanket higher.
“ I’m glad we moved Kazu, you’re right. A new life warranted a new house. I love you so much, baby.” Koki kisses the top of Kame’s head.
“ I’m happy that you feel that way. But even if we didn’t move, I would’ve been just happy. Home to me, is living anywhere where you are and I love you too sugar.” Kame answers nuzzling Koki’s neck.
“ Good night, Kame.”
Kame, however, fell asleep in the middle of his answer. Chuckling lightly Koki closes his eyes and follows his partner into dreamland, glad that Kame’s now free from his ex and that Ryo has finally made amends for the hell he put Kame through in high school. Their future is once again their own and even though their lives aren’t as carefree as they were during their school days, they find that they don’t really mind in so long as they have each other.

Summary: Kame's past before Koki came into his life comes back to haunt him. Ryo feels awful for the things he done to Kame, but will he ever apologize to him properly?
A/N: This is a side story tie in to my multi-chapter fic Sometimes Dreams Do Come True, I'm going for a two parter with this as I don't really want to make a serial out of it like I did for one of my other stories.
Seven hours go by and Kame still hasn’t heard from his lover and with his ex in town, Kame can’t help but worry about Koki. What he finds odd is not Koki working late, but the fact that Koki always calls and let’s his boyfriend know if he was going to be late. Kame wondered if Koki’s phone was dead so he called the veterinary hospital Koki worked at, but he didn’t get an answer on the line either. He knows that they have emergencies and they have patients that need one on one attention, but Koki would still take a two minutes out to let him know where he was. But he didn’t get a response for the past seven hours and by the time the clock struck midnight, Kame was asleep on the couch.
Koki finally walks through the door of their house at a quarter to one in the morning, tired, hungry and sad. He lost a patient today that they were trying to save from cancer and he really wants to feel Kame in his arms, but he knows he’s in trouble since he didn’t call his lover to tell him that he was going to be later than usual, that and Kame’s ex came to his work on Koki’s only break warning him that if Koki doesn’t leave Kame that he’s going to kill, not only him but Kame’s family here in the Tokyo as well.
“ Man, is it good to be home.” he yawns and stretches. Dropping his bag by the door he heads into the kitchen where he sees Kame’s note saying that his dinner is in the oven, just set the temperature to 375 degrees and let it heat it up for ten minutes. “ Kazu...I’m sorry. It was my night to cook after you had that big party to cook for all day.” he murmurs as he waits for his food.
Heading into the living room to watch tv, he sees Kame’s sleeping form laying on the couch. He creeps over and lightly kisses the top of Kame’s head, before turning away to head back into the kitchen, not wanting wake him up, when a hand finds his own and he’s being pulled back towards the couch.
“ Where were you, Koki?” Kame says sleepily.
“ I’m sorry, baby, I was at work all evening.” Koki answers, crouching down to be eye level with Kame, still not unlinking their hands.
“ I was worried, why didn’t you call me?”
“ My phone was dead and the phones at the hospital were ringing non stop, so I couldn’t use one of them.” Koki explains slightly annoyed, as Kame sits up.
“ I don’t know if you have been in the kitchen yet, but your dinner is in the oven.” Kame stretches and stands up, not failing to take note of Koki’s sudden change in tone.
“ I know. I saw it and its heating up right now.” He said in the same annoyed tone.
“ What’s your problem, Koki?”
“ Its nothing. Just leave me alone for a bit.” Koki walks away to eat the food Kame made for him.
Kame stops in the door way of the kitchen staring at Koki’s back, “ I understand your night was hectic and your emotions were high, but that’s no reas...” he stops when Koki turns and glares at him.
“ I’m going to bed, then. Night.” Kame turns and heads upstairs to bed, while Koki just sits down at the table and starts eating.
Koki, hearing the hurt in Kame’s voice, can’t bring himself to eat not, with his guilt is gnawing at his insides the way it is. He knows Kame understands how busy things can be for Koki at work, since Kame had to bring Ran into the hospital after she hurt her foot and they just happened to be really busy that day. Koki knows Kame’s work isn’t any less busier nor is it any less stressful and that this mess with Kame’s ex isn’t Kame’s fault either. He gets up and goes in search of his partner, he finds him with his back to the bedroom door. He quietly sneaks in and wraps his arms around Kame’s neck.
“ I’m sorry, Kazu. I shouldn’t take my stress, annoyance and anger out on you when you did nothing wrong. I know you don’t expect me to call every time I’m going to be late, because sometimes its just not possible. But I am sorry Kame.”
“ I know, its just that I was worried about you that’s all.” Kame turns to face Koki, “ There’s no telling what Koijiro may try and do to you. I just wanted to know if you were safe. You know I trust you completely, so I don’t demand that you account for everything you do or every one you hang out with. Besides, you’re just going to tell me when I ask how your day was anyway and if he never came back here hunting for me, then it wouldn’t be this much of a big deal for me. I love you Koki and I don’t want anything to happen to you or us.” He takes the chance and wraps his arms around Koki’s waist, feeling that Koki didn’t push him away he gives Koki the hug he’s been wanting to give him, since the guy came home.
“ I Love you too, Angel. I do understand and I trust you too.” Koki says reassuringly as he pulls back to lightly kiss Kame.
“ So did you enjoy your dinner? Its a new dish I had to make for that party we were paid to cater. Normally there’s peppers in it, but I know you hate them I left them out and just added a little more meat.” Kame asks.
“ Um, I didn’t finish it.” he grins sheepishly, “ My guilt wouldn’t let me eat until I made up with you.”
Smiling at his lover’s cuteness, Kame takes Koki by hand and leads him back down to his dinner. Back in the dinning room Koki finishes his food, but he’s only picking at it, clearly something else besides their fight is bothering him.
“ Hey, what’s wrong? I thought we were okay now?”
“ We are Kame, its just....you know that cat I told you about that had cancer?”
“ Yeah what a...no..don’t tell me the cat didn’t make it?”
Koki just nods, “ We did everything we could but I guess it was just tired of fighting and it just wanted to sleep. So at the owners request we stopped treatment and put her down, and that was my morning. When I was on my lunch break, your ex showed up and started threatening me and your family that’s still here. So that pissed me off and by the time five o’ clock rolled around it was one emergency after another. There were only two vets on call and I was running around doing things that I probably wasn’t ready for it, like helping with operations.” Koki explains as he finally finishes his dinner. Kame takes the plate when he’s done and goes to wash it, ignoring Koki’s protests of “ I’ll do it Kame.”, while Kame tells him to go up and shower and he’ll be up in a bit.
When Kame’s done he locks the doors and turns off the lights, before following Koki upstairs. When he opens the bedroom door he hears the shower running in the bathroom, he goes in and brushes his teeth, making sure to poke his head around the curtain to warn his lover he’s turning the faucet on. Kame gets done and climbs into bed just as the shower shuts off, since they both have tomorrow off, Kame shuts off their alarm clock and lays there waiting for his lover to come out. Koki comes out a few minutes later towel drying his hair, but the only thing Kame notices is the way every muscle in Koki’s well trained body glistens in the moonlight from the water that Koki failed to wipe off and it causes his mid section tighten, as he licks his lips. Doesn’t Koki realize that image is bad for Kame’s health. Seeing Kame staring at him, he smirks before he throws the towel in the laundry pile, shaking out his long black hair..causing Kame to grip the bed covers unconsciously.
“ So you like what you see, do you?”
“ Y-yeah.” Kame swallows as Koki’s weight comes down on top him and Koki spends the whole night giving Kame his undivided attention.
Its around noon when the lump under the covers starts stirring and shifting around, Kame swears that him and Koki have to be the only couple on the planet that sleeps the way they do, with one using the other as a pillow. But this time its Kame who’s laying on top of Koki, usually its the other way around.
“ Hey lover, have fun last night?” Kame whispers, nipping the older guy’s ear.
“ You bet I did.” Koki smiles, “ Wait...how did you get up there? Usually I’m laying on your back.” he was slightly confused, pleased but still confused none the less.
“ Not sure. I’m pretty sure we fell asleep with me laying my head on your shoulder and then you wound up on top me as you always do. But I like it here, unless you want me to move?” Kame asks, he was slightly confused as well.
“ Nah..just let me roll over.”
Kame shifts his weight so Koki can roll over onto his back, allowing Kame to lay down on his chest and abdomen. Sighing contentedly Kame gives Koki a rather lustful and passionate kiss that sends rivers of electricity through their veins and nerves, making them both hard again. Which tells Koki that its round two and Kame’s topping, whether it was still Koki’s turn or not. An hour later as they drift into light slumber, still coming down from their high, Kame’s phone goes off. He reaches for his phone, looks to see his ex’s name and hits the ignore button, before answering Koki’s questioning look about why he didn’t answer it.
“ Who was...?”
“ My ex, who else?” Kame cuts Koki off mid question
“ He’s determined, I’ll give him that. But he’s never getting you back from me, Kame, and if he kidnaps you then come hell or high water I will track you down and then kill him for taking what willingly belongs to me. Oh and dinner was good last night, thanks for cooking even though it was my turn.”
“ I know you will, baby. You’re welcome and I’m happy that you liked it, since I wasn’t sure if you would or not. You can make it up to me by making dinner tonight and the next night we’re both off at the same time.” Kame smiles and drags Koki to the shower.
After changing and a lunch, they head to the combini where Ryo works to pick up Shuuji since Ryo had to fill in for someone even though it was supposed to be his day off. Ryo sent a text to Kame’s phone just after noon to see if the couple could watch him for an hour or so until his co-worker comes in to relieve him. Koki, while not to thrilled to be doing Ryo favors of any kind, doesn’t mind helping out Ryo’s kid. He knows how much Ryo loves and adores his son, and he would rather spend his off day with a noisy four year old then see Ryo do something that even he knows Ryo will regret for the rest of his natural life.
“ Hey Ryo” Kame says, while Koki just nods.
“ Oh hi guys, thanks again for watching him for me. I really do appreciate it.” he says gratefully, before turning to his kid. “ Hey Shuuji, look who’s here.”
Turning to see who his daddy was talking about, Shuuji’s gaze lands on Kame and Koki. His eyes light up as he runs over shouting “ KameKo!” he hasn’t quite figured out Koki’s name...yet. Which was something Koki was determined the child will learn, namely cause he hates that nickname but as Shuuji is only four and cute to boot, Koki allows him to get away with it for the time being.
“ Hey Shuuji-kun!” Koki says and sweeps the child up before Kame could react.
Ryo hands Koki Shuuji’s car seat, Koki leaves the kid with Kame while he secures the car seat in the back seat of his car. He comes back just as Ryo hands over Shuuji's race cat bag with an extra set of pants in it in case they don't get him to the bathroom in time.
“ Don’t mention it, Ryo. We love watching him.” Koki says playfully hanging the boy upside down then righting him again, causing the baby to break out in laughter. “ Has he eaten yet or do we need to feed him lunch?”
“ He had lunch just before you guys got here. I’ll call you if I’m going to be late picking him up, but I should be done around four. Thanks again Kame and Koki.”
“ Don’t worry about it Ryo, you just take care of things here and don’t worry about Shuuji, he’ll be fine.” Koki says as he takes the kid out to the car, leaving Kame and Ryo alone.
“ Kazuya...about that guy...” Kame stops him.
“ Ryo, don’t worry about my ex. I’ll kill him myself before I let him harm your son.” Ryo nods as Kame walks to the door. “ Everything will work out for you two, I know it will. Just remember, at this age the only thing that Shuuji cares about is that you love him, he’s too young to understand how hard life is for the two of you.” Ryo smiles at that as Kame walks out to the car.
After throwing the bag in the backseat, he climbs in the passenger seat. No sooner does he sit down, than Shuuji says, “ Kameko chu!” causing them both to blush. Last time they watched the kid, they didn’t realize that Shuuji had caught Kame when he planted a light kiss on Koki’s lips in the kitchen. Ever since that day, he demands to see it again. “ You’re too young to see such things.” Koki says before placing his hand over the boy’s eyes and giving Kame a kiss.
Before pulling away he allows Shuuji to see him kiss the side of Kame’s head, satisfied the baby stays quiet for the rest of the ride. They take Shuuji to the zoo so he can see all the animals, no sooner does Kame get him out of the car, he starts pulling on Kame’s hand urging him to hurry up. They spend the next three hours looking at the animals, some they looked at a few times. After an afternoon snack and a stop at the gift shop, they buy Shuuji a stuffed tiger and Shuuji wanted to bring his daddy something home too. Koki asked him what he wanted to get him and the toddler pointed to a t-shirt with a picture of a tiger on it. They paid for the animal and shirt and left for home.
They got back to their house at three thirty and Kame took Shuuji and his new tiger up stairs to take a nap in the guest room, seeing how worn out he was from his big day. Coming back downstairs, Kame sees Koki eying the shirt Shuuji asked to buy for his papa...he was pouting. He comes up and hugging Koki from behind, he asks...
“ What’s with the pout, baby?”
“ When we were getting that toy and shirt, I forgot that mug and the dvd on monkeys I wanted to buy, you know the one that had the lion on the front of it. They only had one left when we walked into that store.”
“ Check the race car bag.” was all Kame said before vacating Koki’s shoulders.
“ Kame....you..” Koki grabs the bag and starts rummaging around until he finds what he’s searching for.
He opens the small box it came in and pulled out a tan coffee mug with a lion depicted on the front and the zoo logo surrounded by penguins on the back. He also finds not one but two new animal dvds he didn’t have yet. He looks up and sees Kame smiling at him.
“ You were...when did you get this?”
“ Right after you left to take Shuuji to the bathroom. I was just lucky that you accidentally left the bag with me, so I could hide it before you got back. There was only one left and I could see how much you wanted it, so I bought it for you. I knew you wanted that video on monkeys and I saw that one Siberian Tigers and I knew you didn’t have that yet, so I picked them up as well.”
“ Thanks baby, I love them.” he said grabbing Kame and hugging him. They go and sit on the couch with the baby monitor next to them so they can hear if Shuuji needs them for anything.
Its twenty after four when Ryo calls Koki and says he’s on his way to take his kid off their hands. Just as Kame’s ex starts blowing up his phone generally pissing him off as Shuuji calls for Koki. Koki gets up to see what the child wants while Kame blows up at his ex for trying to interfere in his new life. He hangs up just as Koki comes down with Shuuji in his arms.
“ So what’s wrong with him?” Kame asks as Koki puts him down to play with their dogs.
“ He had to use the bathroom and wondered if his dad was here yet.” As he watches Kame put some money in an envelope.
“ He’s not going to like that Kame.” Koki says as Ryo knocks on the door and Shuuji shouts “ Daddy!” and runs to the door trying to open it.
“ I don't care,Ryo needs the help and we're in the best position to give him some financial help.” Kame says slipping an envelope of cash into Shuuji's bag.
Kame lets Ryo in and he’s immediately tackled by his kid, who then proceeds to tell him all about his day.
“ Hahaha! I missed you too son. Sounds like you had fun.” he hugs his kid.
“ Look what KameKo bought me.” he beams showing Ryo the tiger. “ I got you something too.”
“ You did?” Koki motions for Ryo to open the diaper bag and as he pulls out the shirt, the envelope falls out as well.
“ Wow, thank you. You have good taste. I love it.” Ryo says as his baby bounces up down happily.
“ Yeah he wouldn’t allow us to leave unless he came back with something for you too. Don’t worry about the money for the shirt.” Koki says.
“ Daddy? What’s this?” Shuuji hands him the envelope.
Out of curiosity Ryo opens it and sees five million yen inside. His draw drops and he’s taken aback at how they’re treating him when he knows that Kame and Koki should hate him for what he did. But he never took the time to get to know what kind of people Kame and Koki really are.
“ I can’t take this, guys. Its too much.” he tries to hand the money back but they won’t have it.
“ Ryo, for once just bite your pride and admit that you need help with more than just child care. We won’t take it back.” Koki says.
“ Look, you need the money more than we do. You know who our fathers are and you know both Koki and I have more money than we know what to do with. There’s enough there to get you caught up on your bills and the two months of rent your behind on. I’m not trying to sound better or anything, I’m just trying to help you and Shuuji.”
“ I know I don’t deserve any of this, but thanks guys.” he says and puts the money back in the bag. “ Well, let’s go kiddo. Its time for your dinner and then you can tell me more about your trip to the zoo.” Ryo bids the couple fair well and takes his kid home.
With Ryo gone, Kame and Koki say a silent prayer being thankful for the life they were born into. They sit down to eat when Koki brings up the possibility of moving, catching his lover totally off guard.
“ I kept some of those pictures you showed me. Since you’re dead set on moving and you do have good taste in houses, why don’t we go and check some of them out on our next off day together?” Koki says, finally giving in to Kame’s desire to move.
“ You mean that Koki? Or are you just placating me so I will stop bugging you about it?” Kame asks suspiciously.
“ No, Kame I’m not just placating you. To be honest the idea has been growing on me lately and being the romantic person I am, I can see why you would find it romantic.” Koki says honestly.
“ Yay! I’ll call the realtors tomorrow while you’re at work and since I’m going to need something to do all day until you get home.”
They finish their meal in a pleasant silence, smiling at each other from time to time. Koki takes their plates away and goes to clean up the dishes, while Kame relaxes on the couch. Koki comes in when he’s done and lays on the couch with his head in Kame’s lap, Kame gently runs his fingers through the older guy’s hair while he finds something to watch.
“ I hate it when there’s nothing on tv.” Koki whines leaving it some stupid comedy program.
“ Well, there’s that new soccer game I got from Nino, we can make a challenge out of that. With same prize as usual, only difference is that the winner gets to decide on the location and type.” Kame says with a slightly devilish grin as Koki stares at his neck hungrily.
“ You’re on, baby.” Koki agrees and immediately starts the game.
He hands Kame his controller and they agree on a best two out of three. Unknown to the pair, Kame’s ex found out where they live and he’s spying on them from his car, using a pair of binoculars so he doesn’t get found out. That’s when Koki seen the mud tracks leading away from their house to the drive way. Luckily the grass and dirt by the window was still wet from when Koki washed their dogs that afternoon. Following the tracks to the middle of the drive way, Kame sees tire marks, like someone had accidently spun their tires trying to get away. Unknown to Koijiro, he had dropped his gold embossed hankerchief as he was trying to get his keys from his pocket before he was caught.
“ Koki, you don’t think he was here do you?” Kame asks.
“ I don’t know...its highly possi..” Koki’s cut off by Ran’s barking and the feel of paws on his leg.
Looking down, Koki sees an excited Ran-chan holding something in her mouth, her tail beating back and forth rapidly.
“ Hey girl, what did you find?” Koki asks kneeling down to the little dog’s level. Koki takes the object from Kame’s dog and shows it to his lover.
“ Does this look familiar, Kame?” Koki asks as he tells Ran to show him where she found it.
He follows the dog while Kame unfolds the hankerchief and sees his ex’s initials and business moniker etched in gold in the bottom right corner. He freaks out knowing that his ex now knows where him and Koki are living and the desire to move was stronger and more urgent than ever. Koki comes back over from the bushes where the hankerchief was found and he sees nothing but fear in Kame’s eyes.

He makes a wish on the moon and stars in the warm night sky for someone to take Koijiro’s life.
Taking Kame back inside, Koki calls the cops while Kame pulls on his jeans. After handing Koki his, he goes into the kitchen to make some very strong tea to help calm his nerves. The cops come and they tell the police what Kame heard and what they saw outside, and Kame was more than happy to hand over his ex’s hankerchief. With the promise that they will question the guy and look into it, they leave the couple alone. After the cops leave, Koki goes in and starts picking up their little nest but Kame stops him, telling him that he still wants to sleep down here despite what happened. Koki agrees and lays back down on among the pillows and blankets, only removing the ones that showed the signs of their love making. A week goes by and the threats and stalking continue. They finally decide on a new place to live, with Kame giving in and agreeing to the house that Koki had his heart set on as soon as he saw that nice dolphin fountain in the middle of the curved drive way. Kame was on his way home from Ryo’s place one night after babysitting so he could go to Yamapi’s birthday party. He just got done paying for his gas, since he had to stop and put gas in his car, when he’s forced into the back seat of the car next to his.
“ What the hell?!”
“ I told you that you belong to me, Kazuya and you always will. I own you..not that guy. Your my property and you will be punished for allowing someone else to have what has always belong to me...your body and your heart.” his attacker growls.
“ You never owned me, ass hole. Now let me go!” Kame yells and reaches for the door handle to dive out of the car.
“ You leave this car and I will kill him. You come with me and he stays alive.” he leers Kame. “ Your choice...your freedom or his life?”
Not wanting anything to happen to Koki, Kame just slumps back against the back seat glaring at his ex. Koijiro just smiles at Kame’s compliancy and continues to drive to a vacant house just outside of the city. When his captures attention turns back to the road, he takes his phone from his pocket and switches to vibrate, while taking note of his surroundings. He’s angry and depressed that he may never see Koki again all because of one bad decision when he was fifteen and now its come back to haunt him. Two hours later, they stop in front of a run down house and making sure to memorize the address as he’s dragged inside and thrown onto the mattress that was on the floor in one of the empty rooms.
“ Stay here and behave, I’ll be back shortly.” Kame agrees as his ex leaves. While he’s gone, Kame tries to call Koki.
Koki calls Ryo asking if Kame has left yet, since he should’ve been home three hours ago. Ryo says no and tells him what time he came back and what time Kame left.
“ I’m sure he’s fine Koki.”
“ I wish I could be for sure, but after the last encounter we had with his ex I can’t help but worry...Hang on I have another call.” He switches lines, “ Hel-”
“ Koki, I don’t have much time. He’ll be back soon, I’m sorry but in order to keep you alive I had to go with him. He said that if I didn’t then he would kill you and I...”
“ Kame! Tell me where you are and I’ll come get you. I understand why you’re doing this but I made a promise to protect you.”
“ But Koki...”
“ But nothing Kame! I will not allow him to run our lives and continue this hold he has over you..now please...tell me where you are!”
Kame knows this his past with this guy has to end and he doesn’t want to live anywhere that Koki’s not. He loves Koki like he’s never loved anyone and hearing the pleading in the older man’s voice, breaks Kame’s resolve and he gives him the address just as Koijiro comes back to the house.
“ Did you...Shit! He’s back..I have to go.” Kame says as the guy walks up to the door. “ Please hurry, I love you Koki.” he disconnects the call.
Koki switches back to the other line, “ Hey Ryo, that was Kame. That ass hole ex of his kidnaped him. He managed to give me his location, I have to get him.”
“ Koki..wait for me. I’ll be right there. I know you want him back, I do too. But you can’t go there alone, what if he has a trap set up or something.”
Knowing that Ryo could be right, he agrees. Ryo shows up ten minutes later with his kid, not having anyone to watch him.
“ Hey Ryo..Shuuji-kun. You ready?” Koki asks.
“ I was thinking, Koki, let me go after him...you stay here with Shuuji. Its dangerous enough for the two of us and as a father I can’t take my child into a situation like that.”
“ No, Ryo. I....”
“ Please Koki, we don’t have much time and besides I owe it to him. After everything I put him through when we were in school and because of my pride, I do feel guilty for my actions and I vowed to never raise my son that way. I never properly apologized and so let me go after him and as repentance for my actions. I owe it to not just Kazuya but to you as well, especially after everything you guys have done to help us out.”
Koki relents seeing that Ryo’s not pulling his chain and that he’s showing his true feelings for the first time since Koki’s known him. He gives Ryo the address and after saying good-bye to his son he leaves with a promise to bring Kame back with him. Koki takes the child inside and lets Shuuji show him the present he got from Pi on his birthday a few days ago. Koki and Kame were invited but they both had work that day and couldn’t go but they sent him a card in the mail.
Kame puts his phone away just as Koijiro comes back into the room. He orders Kame to eat but he’s just not hungry and he doesn’t trust the food that was put down in front of him, especially since they aren’t eating the same thing. He suspects that his ex did something to it and refuses to touch it, unaware that Ryo...not Koki...is on the way to rescue him.
“ You have changed, Kazuya. You were never this stubborn, I made sure of that. It seems I’ll just have to break you again.”
“ You can try but it won’t work.” Kame glares back.
He just laughs before tying Kame’s hands to the radiator and pressing him into the floor.
“ We’ll see about that.” he says before striping Kame of his vision the way Koki did, only he was rougher and hit him a few times before Kame would comply.
Knowing what was going to happen next Kame struggles under the guy’s weight as Koijiro starts removing his clothes and touching and licking Kame’s body. Instead of his brain giving in, it sends signals to his body telling it not to react, and that his lover and life partner, Koki, is the only one that it should react too.
-Come on Koki, hurry!- He prays silently, as Ryo pulls into the drive way.
Its not long before Ryo’s getting out of his car and running up to the house. He doesn’t knock, not wanting to alert the guy to his presence. He tries the door and finds that guy left it unlocked and slightly open, he tip toes inside and starts searching around for any signs of Kame. Its only when he hears Kame’s pleas of “ D-don’t do this, please.” as he walks by a closed door in the first floor hallway. He sends a text to Koki telling him to call the cops and send them over, he looks around for anything he can use as weapon when Koijiro’s voice floats through the closed door and into his ears saying “ I know you like this Kazuya. You’re mine remember, I don’t have to stop”. Ryo finds a baseball bat in the hall closet, he goes back to the room where Kame’s being held prisoner and barges in taking both guys by surprise, thankfully Kame still had his boxers on when Ryo came bursting into the room.
“ Why you...how did you get in here?” Koijiro asks outraged, charging at Ryo.
“ Let him go ass hole, he doesn’t belong to you!” Ryo says before hitting the guy in the head with the bat in his hands.
Koijiro falls to the floor in a heap from Ryo’s attack to the side of his skull. Panting heavily, he runs over to where Kame was laying. After seeing what the guy was going to do Koki’s boyfriend and the memory of the day when Ryo tried to do that very same thing, came flooding back to his brain. He was sick to his stomach over Kame’s ex and his own actions at the time.
“ Kazuya! Don’t worry, its me Ryo.” he undoes the blindfold from Kame’s face.
“ Ryo? What are you...where’s Koki?” he demanded.
“ Koki’s fine, he’s with my son. We were on the phone when you called, he had asked me if you had left yet. Then when you hung up, he told me where you were and I asked him to wait until I got there.” he explains as he undoes the ties around Kame’s wrists and hauls him to his feet. “ I know he promised to save you but I talked him into letting me come after you instead.” he says as Koijiro starts to stir while Kame finishes putting his clothes back.
Soon Kame sees the familiar lights of police cars as the cops rush the into the room guns drawn. Everyone’s held at gun point while Kame and Ryo explain what happened, just as his ex is being hauled to his feet. The officer in charge tells them to follow them down to the station to make a full report and to file charges against Koijiro for not only stalking but kidnaping and assault as well, noticing the marks on Kame’s wrists and the bruises on Kame’s face from where the other guy had hit him. Ryo calls Koki and tells him to meet him at the police station, he has a surprise waiting for him.
Twenty minutes later Kame is allowed to reunite with his lover after another hour an half of questions from the cops.
“ Kazuya!” Koki shouts and not caring who’s around them, he grabs Kame and pulls him into the strongest hug he can without hurting him, and starts kissing him for all he’s worth.
“ I never thought I’d see you again, Koki.” Kame says once Koki removed his tongue as the trio walk of the station, heading back to Koki’s and Kame’s house.
They pull up and Koki plays with Shuuji while Kame helps Ryo put the car seat in the back of his own car. Once its secure he signals for Koki to bring the child over and after saying his good-byes, Ryo straps his son in his seat. He straightens up and turns to face Kame, realizing its now or never, he looks at Koki who just smiles and nods his head slightly.
“ Hey, Kazuya. The reason main reason I asked Koki to let me rescue you is because I owed it to you. Its my way of trying to make amends for the hell I put you through in high school and when I saw that your ex was going to do the very thing I attempted to do at the time, I was sick to my stomach. I couldn’t believe that I was willing go so far to just be cool and win such a stupid game, that day in front of the restroom when Koki stuck up for you by telling me that I wasn’t your type and to leave you be....I realized shortly after Rina told me was carrying my child that he was right. I was the wrong person for you. You don’t have to believe me Kazuya, but I really am sorry for what I’ve done. Well, We’re going to get going now.” Ryo shuts the car door and moves around to the driver’s side.
“ Thank you Ryo for bringing me back to Koki. I wouldn’t have seen him again had you never showed up.” Koki pouts at Kame’s words because he did help. “ Don’t worry about that, I got over that and forgave you along time ago. Friends?” Kame asks, holding out his hand.
“ I would like that.” Ryo smiles and shakes Kame’s hand.
“ Take care of your kid and yourself, Ryo. When we get settled in our new place, we’ll give the directions so you can drop Shuuji off when you need to.” Kame said.
“ Yeah thanks again for bringing him back to me. I don’t what I would’ve done had something happened to Kame.” Koki says.
With that Ryo left, allowing the couple to have a private reunion party. Happy just to be back with Koki and their kids, Kame and Koki lock up the house for the night and head up to bed. Where Koki shows Kame how much he’s missed him and Kame’s just happy to be back in their bed, having Koki and only Koki, rock his world. The next day they find out that Kame’s ex is serving a life sentence for kidnaping, attempted rape and assault, and they couldn’t be happier. Kame’s just glad he can finally close that chapter of his life, and continue his new chapters with Koki.
Three weeks later they are finally moved in their new, smaller mansion. They even threw a house warming party with their friends that now included Ryo and Pi. It was past midnight when everyone finally left them to enjoy their new place and Koki, not being able to wait any longe, dragged Kame into their bedroom and where Kame spent the next hour showing Koki what its like to wear the blindfold and taking Koki on the same high as he took the night of their video game challenge.
“ Damn Kame!” Koki pants coming down from his as Kame pulls out and collapses on the bed next to him.
“ Now you know how much I enjoyed it, though we are not using it all the time or I’ll get bored with it.” Kame snuggles closer to Koki, pulling the light blanket higher.
“ I’m glad we moved Kazu, you’re right. A new life warranted a new house. I love you so much, baby.” Koki kisses the top of Kame’s head.
“ I’m happy that you feel that way. But even if we didn’t move, I would’ve been just happy. Home to me, is living anywhere where you are and I love you too sugar.” Kame answers nuzzling Koki’s neck.
“ Good night, Kame.”
Kame, however, fell asleep in the middle of his answer. Chuckling lightly Koki closes his eyes and follows his partner into dreamland, glad that Kame’s now free from his ex and that Ryo has finally made amends for the hell he put Kame through in high school. Their future is once again their own and even though their lives aren’t as carefree as they were during their school days, they find that they don’t really mind in so long as they have each other.

Its Kame said, he can't afford to have Karma coming after him and it didn't do either of them any good to hold on to that kinda of anger.
The ending kinda gave me issues as I wasn't sure how to end it. D
