Once they get home, Daisuke and his family head back to their normal lives relieved that Kame gets to stay where he’s at. Kame walked around in something of a daze for the rest of day, which really didn’t help him pay attention much causing at least two of his substitute teachers to become annoyed with him. As he was walking out of class to meet up with Koki, he runs into Reio again.
“ Who’s the flower for, Reio-kun?” Kame asks as he motions for Koki to come over when he was done talking to Ren.
“ See, there’s this guy I like and I wanted to give it to him this morning before school but he wasn’t here.”
“ Just give it to him after school then.” Kame says as Koki comes up.
“ Hey Kazu, ready to go? There’s something I want to do before our last class starts.” Koki glares at the flower Reio’s holding.
“ Yeah sure.” Kame smiles at his boyfriend, having a good inkling of what is going through Koki’s head. “ Later Kid.” Kame bids goodbye to Reio.
All Reio could do was watch Kame as he walked away, watching as Koki’s arm slinks around Kame’s waist in a crowded hall..catching him has he nearly trips over another student’s backpack that was lying careless in the middle of the hallway. He wanted to run after the pair and confess to Kame but with Koki being around and ultimately in his way, he knows he can’t. He liked Kame ever since he first laid eyes on the older guy. He thinks his best friend’s too possessive over Kame but what he doesn’t know is why Koki’s like that and why Kame allows it.
Koki and Kame duck into an open janitor closet, where Kame hulls Koki’s body against his, shoving his tongue down the older boy’s throat. Koki slides his hand up to rest on Kame’s neck, while a moan emits from both of them. Pulling away to aquire some much needed air, Kame asks..
“ Was this what you had in mind?”
“ You know me all too well, sugar.” Koki whispers as he kisses Kame again, this time its more gentler and full of love.

Groaning Koki pulls back, “ Yeah I know. Its just that damn court crap this morning put a damper in our morning party, though the end result was good to hear.” he references the judge’s ruling in their favor.
Kame just smiles as Koki pokes his head around the door and after making sure the coast is clear, they head to their last class for the day. On the way Koki brings up Reio and his flower from earlier.
“ That kid is starting to piss me off!” he growls as they run into Kou and Keto.
“ Don’t worry about him Koki.” Kame says, giving a Koki a look that quite clearly reminds him that he, Tanaka Koki, has nothing to worry about.
“ Um, Kame, Reio didn’t try to give you anything, did he?” Kou asks.
“ Not yet. I think he might do that after school is out. I don’t think he wants to do it in front of the entire student body, much less Koki. He tries to act all shy and crap, but I think he’s just afraid of your captain here.” he nods in Koki’s direction, “ Why he just won’t admit to what we all know is beyond me.” Kame finishes.
“ Its quite pathetic really. Keto’s not the only that has told him not go after you that way..but he won’t listen.” Yuki says as Keto just nods. “ Have you two ever thought about telling this kid about the two of you?” he asks turning his attention to Koki, since their friends more or less figured out that they’re together now.
“ If it comes to that then we have no choice.” Koki says just as the bell rings.
Twenty minutes later Koki and Kame are heading back to Kame’s car, when they see Reio standing by the double doors.
“ Hey guys.”
“ What do you want now?” Koki asks annoyed.
Wanting to get this over with Kame tells Koki just wait for him at the car, nodding Koki does just that. With Koki gone, Reio summons up his courage and says..
“ This is for you, Kamenashi-chan. I-I liked you from the first day I met you and I was..” Kame cuts him off as Reio tries to hand him the flower.
“ That’s sweet of you, Reio-kun. But I’m already seeing someone and I’m sorry but I can’t return your feelings.” Kame says and then walks away.
“ Does Tanaka-san know?” he asks, making Kame stop in his tracks.
“ Yes, he knows.” was all Kame said before walking away again.
Kame gets to his car and motions for Koki to get in. Once inside Koki asks him what Reio wanted.
“ He confessed and tried to give me that flower he was holding earlier. I told him that I wasn’t able to return his feelings since I’m already seeing someone.”
“ Good. Now maybe he’ll leave you alone and stop nosing into our business.” Koki smiles, laying his hand on Kame’s thigh.
“ Did you get any homework, Koki?” Kame asks as they pull into the driveway.
“ For once...no. My teachers decided to NOT be evil for a change. You?” Koki still can’t figure out how he got all the evil teachers, while Kame got all the nice ones.
“ Nope. I think my teachers have been going on easy on me ever since my nightmares came back....wretched woman!” Kame curses his aunt and the fact that she ever came into his life at all.
Once inside Koki gets a call from his dad saying that his new boss is coming by for dinner tonight, so make sure the house is cleaned...or at least presentable. He tells Koki that he will be home at five and his boss is coming by at six-thirty so it gives them all time to be ready.
“ Okay we will, dad. Do me and Kame have to be there?” Koki whines into the speaker phone, his hands being busy with rubbing Kame’s sore shoulders.
“ Yes, you two do. He’s bringing his two daughters and son, they’re your age, the son is a few years younger.”
“ Fine.” Koki groans.
“ Oh come on son, its not like we’re trying to set you up or anything. Besides, Kame wouldn’t like that too much, would you Kazuya?” he asks.
“ No, I wouldn’t. Koki’s mine.” Kame says matter of factly.
“ Alright then. Just be civil to them okay? Unless Kame has one of his episodes, I don’t want you two ignoring them. Now I gotta a meeting to attend too, your mother should be home around four thirty..so that gives you guys plenty of time to clean the house and get certain “ urges” out of your system for a couple of hours.”
“Bye dad.” Koki hangs up and switches spots with his boyfriend.
“ Oh...that feels great Kame!” Koki groans happily. “ Now I wish I did have homework tonight.” he grumbles sitting up. He tries to put his shirt back on but Kame has hidden it somewhere and refuses to tell him where.
“ Come on Kame, give me my shirt back. We have to clean the house remember?”
“ And deprive me of my own personal ‘eye candy’....I don’t think so.” he smirks and gets up to start cleaning.
With a devilish grin Koki stands behind his boyfriend and pulls his shirt off before Kame has a chance to register what’s happening. -That’s better- Koki thinks as Kame turns around with a slight blush tinging his neck.
“ Well then I get some too.” he gives Kame a chaste kiss before starting on the kitchen.
Its two-thirty by the time koki and Kame get done cleaning, leaving them two hours before Mrs. Tanaka comes home to start getting ready and checking to see if the house was cleaned properly. After putting the cleaning supplies away, Koki drags Kame into the living room and starts kissing him, hungrily. “ Are you sure Kazu? Cause I can talk to my dad and see if its...” Kame shuts Koki up with a kiss.
“ Yes, Koki. I’m sure..just...” he looks out the window just as a sedan pulls up.
“Just..what, baby?” Koki wraps his arms around Kame from behind.
“ Just...don’t go too far away from me.” Kame says as he places his arms on Koki’s.
“ You’re not the one that has to worry about that.” Koki says as Koki’s dad calls them downstairs to wait for their guests. “ My dad’s calling us..let’s go.”
“Koki...I..” Kame starts but Koki just cuts him off.
“Come on, love. They’re waiting for us.” He smiles to tell Kame that he’ll be fine.
Kame follows him downstairs and into the living room. “Kazuya, Koki..this is my new boss, Mr. Hikaru and his two daughters, Saiyru and Eri, and his son...and his wife Rika”
“ Reio-kun!” Koki and Kame say at the same time.
“You three know each other?” Koki’s mom asks.
“ Yeah, kind of. He goes to our school.” Kame says while throwing a not so subtle glare in Reio’s direction.
“ So he’s the one you were telling me about, Koki.” she says quietly as they all head into the living room to relax while stealing Koki from Kame long enough to help her finish getting dinner ready, while Kame stays close to Koki’s dad. Which garnered a strange look from Reio, while his two sisters pretended not to notice Kame’s odd behavior to which Kame was grateful for. But that didn’t stop their dad from asking about it, causing both girls to roll their eyes and send Kame apologetic looks over their father’s question. Even they can sense that whatever the cause is, its not something that is meant for public knowledge.
“ So what’s up with him? He seems, I don’t know, really nervous or something. I mean he hasn’t...”
“ Oh its nothing, really. He just hasn’t been feeling well lately....he’s still getting over the flu.” He answers and gives Kame a small wink just as Koki comes back in to tell them dinner’s ready.
When Reio and their parents head into the dinning room, Eri and her sister to turn to Kame just as Koki comes over to see if he’s still doing alright.
“ We’re sorry about our dad, Kazuya-chan. Sometimes he doesn’t know when its best not to ask about someone’s private affairs. He’s a good man but he’s too nosey for his own good.” they apologize with a slight bow.
“Its okay, Eir-chan..Saiyru-chan, I really am just getting over a bad case of the flu.” Kame smiles.
“ Shall we eat now?” Koki asks the trio.
The girls nod and head into the dining room, only Kame hangs back a bit longer. Unsure if he really can get through this without any more questions concerning him and the fact that he’s either stuck to Koki like glue or one of their parents whenever Koki’s not near, and he tells Koki as much. After reassuring Kame that he’ll be right here the whole time, they go and eat dinner. After his talk with Koki, Kame calms down enough to act like himself all through out dinner and the rest of the visit...until the sounds of sirens in the distant puncture the night air.
“Wha-what’s that?” Kame asks Koki, jumping about a foot in the air, getting dizzy and breaking out in a cold sweat at the same time.
“ Its just normal sirens, Kame. I think someone ran from the cops or something. Come on, I’ll take you upstairs.” Koki whispers so none else can hear.
“ Hey dad, Kame’s not feeling well.” he puts his hand to Kame’s forehead on the pretext of checking for a fever, “ his fever has come back and he’s sweating like mad.”
“ Can you stand Kame?” Koki’s mom asks, concerned.
Kame stands but he’s so dizzy he nearly falls back to the floor, luckily Koki grabbed his arm to keep him upright. Koki’s dad tells him to help Kame upstairs to bed, nodding Koki takes Kame upstairs to their bedroom, unknowingly followed by Reio who used the classic bathroom excuse, locking the door as he does so.
Kame sits down on the bed next to koki and automatically wraps his arms around his boyfriend’s neck. Not knowing what else he can do, Koki just pulls Kame closer and blankets his younger lover in all the protection his arms can offer.

As an answer Koki goes over and quietly unlocks their door, yanking it open with such force that it causes Reio to lose his balance and fall head first into the room. Lifting his head he sees the anger in Koki and Kame’s faces, ignoring that small voice in his head that’s telling him to leave, he scrambles to his feet and goes to sit next to Kame.
“ Kamenashi-chan...are you..?” Reio starts but never finishes as Kame is pulled away from him. As Kame moves to stand behind Koki, Reio stands and faces Koki..affronted he asks...
“ What the hell, Tanaka-san? All I did was try to ask him if he was feeling better?”
“ So why didn’t you knock instead of trying to listen in at the key hole?” Kame asks instead.
“ Because he wouldn’t have told me and I care about you Kamenashi-chan.” he answers.
“ I told you before I already have someone. Now leave me alone!” Kame shouts.
“ Listen kid, I won’t warn you again. Stay away from Kame and stay out of our business. Boss’s son or not, I won’t hesitate to kick your ass six ways to sunday!” With that Kame, not Koki, grabs Reio by the collar of his shirt and throws him out of their room..while Koki texts his dad telling him what just happened.
“ Now I see why that kid makes you mad so much Koki, but thank you baby.” Kame says.
“ For what?” Koki asks as Kame’s arms encircle his neck, while his hands rest on Kame’s hips.
“ Just for being here for me and for trying your best to be understanding.” Kame gives Koki a light peck on his lips.
“ I love you, Kazu. I’m always here for you, you know that. Just don’t push your recovery, let the memories come at their pace, alright?”
“ Okay. I love you too Koki.” Kame answers back, they still keep their voices down since they’re pretty sure that Reio’s still trying to catch what their conversation.
Back downstairs Reio’s mom asks him what took him so long. He answers that he got lost since their house is fairly large. Koki comes down a few minutes later to say good-bye to Reio and his family and to give his mom an update on Kame’s real condition once his dad closes the front door.
“ Kame’s sorry dad, he told me to tell you that he was trying his hardest and he was doing good until he heard those sirens. That’s when he...” Koki’s cut off by Kame’s voice from the bottom of the stairs.
“ That’s when I freaked out, Koki and I think those police sirens triggered an auditory memory of the accident. I was trying my best since this was important to you, I just I didn’t cause you any problems with your new boss.”
“ Its okay Kazuya. He’s a junior boss anyway so my position is in no way in any danger. Are you alright though?”
“ Yeah, I’m fine.” he answers before turning to Koki, “ Hey Koki, help me with the dishes will you?”
“ Sure thing, Kame.”
While Koki and Kame do the dishes and clean up, their parents head upstairs for a little “ alone time themselves. With his parents gone Koki turns to Kame and asks, “ Do you feel up for school tomorrow?”
“ I don’t know, Koki. Ask me when tomorrow gets here.”
They dry and put the dishes away then go and sit in the living room to watch some tv before going to bed. Its past midnight when they drag themselves up to bed, and after changing into some comfy shorts, they crawl under the covers and with Kame’s head on Koki’s chest...they drift off to sleep.

“ Oh hey boys..almost ready?” Koki’s mom asks as Koki applies a leave in treatment for split ends to Kame’s shoulder length hair.
“ Yeah we just need a few more minutes.” Kame answers while purring.
“Are you up for this, dear?” she asks Kame.
“Not really, but its important to Koki’s dad so I’m going to give it a shot.” He answers with a smile.
Mrs. Tanaka just nods and leaves her boys to finish getting ready. Once she’s gone Koki turns to Kame and asks..
“ Are you sure Kazu? Cause I can talk to my dad and see if its...” Kame shuts Koki up with a kiss.
“ Yes, Koki. I’m sure..just...” he looks out the window just as a sedan pulls up.
“Just..what, baby?” Koki wraps his arms around Kame from behind.
“ Just...don’t go too far away from me.” Kame says as he places his arms on Koki’s.
“ You’re not the one that has to worry about that.” Koki says as Koki’s dad calls them downstairs to wait for their guests. “ My dad’s calling us..let’s go.”
“Koki...I..” Kame starts but Koki just cuts him off.
“Come on, love. They’re waiting for us.” He smiles to tell Kame that he’ll be fine.
Kame follows him downstairs and into the living room. Automatically sitting next to Koki, he lays his head on Koki’s shoulder and whispers “ I love you, remember that.” just as the door bell rings and Koki’s dad let’s their guests into house. No sooner do they step over the threshold do Koki and Kame get a surprise neither one of them expected, its bad enough they have to deal with the annoying kid during school...now he knows exactly where Kame lives.
“Kazuya, Koki..this is my new boss, Mr. Hikaru and his two daughters, Saiyru and Eri, and his son...and his wife Rika”
“ Reio-kun!” Koki and Kame say at the same time.
“You three know each other?” Koki’s mom asks.
“ Yeah, kind of. He goes to our school.” Kame says while throwing a not so subtle glare in Reio’s direction.
“ So he’s the one you were telling me about, Koki.” she says quietly as they all head into the living room to relax while stealing Koki from Kame long enough to help her finish getting dinner ready, while Kame stays close to Koki’s dad. Which garnered a strange look from Reio, while his two sisters pretended not to notice Kame’s odd behavior to which Kame was grateful for. But that didn’t stop their dad from asking about it, causing both girls to roll their eyes and send Kame apologetic looks over their father’s question. Even they can sense that whatever the cause is, its not something that is meant for public knowledge.
“ So what’s up with him? He seems, I don’t know, really nervous or something. I mean he hasn’t...”
“ Oh its nothing, really. He just hasn’t been feeling well lately....he’s still getting over the flu.” He answers and gives Kame a small wink just as Koki comes back in to tell them dinner’s ready.
When Reio and their parents head into the dinning room, Eri and her sister to turn to Kame just as Koki comes over to see if he’s still doing alright.
“ We’re sorry about our dad, Kazuya-chan. Sometimes he doesn’t know when its best not to ask about someone’s private affairs. He’s a good man but he’s too nosey for his own good.” they apologize with a slight bow.
“Its okay, Eir-chan..Saiyru-chan, I really am just getting over a bad case of the flu.” Kame smiles.
“ Shall we eat now?” Koki asks the trio.
The girls nod and head into the dining room, only Kame hangs back a bit longer. Unsure if he really can get through this without any more questions concerning him and the fact that he’s either stuck to Koki like glue or one of their parents whenever Koki’s not near, and he tells Koki as much. After reassuring Kame that he’ll be right here the whole time, they go and eat dinner. After his talk with Koki, Kame calms down enough to act like himself all through out dinner and the rest of the visit...until the sounds of sirens in the distant puncture the night air.
“Wha-what’s that?” Kame asks Koki, jumping about a foot in the air, getting dizzy and breaking out in a cold sweat at the same time.
“ Its just normal sirens, Kame. I think someone ran from the cops or something. Come on, I’ll take you upstairs.” Koki whispers so none else can hear.
“ Hey dad, Kame’s not feeling well.” he puts his hand to Kame’s forehead on the pretext of checking for a fever, “ his fever has come back and he’s sweating like mad.”
“ Can you stand Kame?” Koki’s mom asks, concerned.
Kame stands but he’s so dizzy he nearly falls back to the floor, luckily Koki grabbed his arm to keep him upright. Koki’s dad tells him to help Kame upstairs to bed, nodding Koki takes Kame upstairs to their bedroom, unknowingly followed by Reio who used the classic bathroom excuse, locking the door as he does so.
Kame sits down on the bed next to koki and automatically wraps his arms around his boyfriend’s neck. Not knowing what else he can do, Koki just pulls Kame closer and blankets his younger lover in all the protection his arms can offer.
“ Its alright, love. I’m right here, did you remember something? I mean sirens never made you react before.” Koki asks quietly rubbing Kame’s back. He drops his voice after seeing Reio in the hallway.
“ I don’t know...maybe. Maybe the those sirens I heard down stairs made me have one of those sound memories the therapist told us about.” Kame answers, dropping his tone to match Koki’s. “ But why are we whispering?”
As an answer Koki goes over and quietly unlocks their door, yanking it open with such force that it causes Reio to lose his balance and fall head first into the room. Lifting his head he sees the anger in Koki and Kame’s faces, ignoring that small voice in his head that’s telling him to leave, he scrambles to his feet and goes to sit next to Kame.
“ Kamenashi-chan...are you..?” Reio starts but never finishes as Kame is pulled away from him. As Kame moves to stand behind Koki, Reio stands and faces Koki..affronted he asks...
“ What the hell, Tanaka-san? All I did was try to ask him if he was feeling better?”
“ So why didn’t you knock instead of trying to listen in at the key hole?” Kame asks instead.
“ Because he wouldn’t have told me and I care about you Kamenashi-chan.” he answers.
“ I told you before I already have someone. Now leave me alone!” Kame shouts.
“ Listen kid, I won’t warn you again. Stay away from Kame and stay out of our business. Boss’s son or not, I won’t hesitate to kick your ass six ways to sunday!” With that Kame, not Koki, grabs Reio by the collar of his shirt and throws him out of their room..while Koki texts his dad telling him what just happened.
“ Now I see why that kid makes you mad so much Koki, but thank you baby.” Kame says.
“ For what?” Koki asks as Kame’s arms encircle his neck, while his hands rest on Kame’s hips.
“ Just for being here for me and for trying your best to be understanding.” Kame gives Koki a light peck on his lips.
“ I love you, Kazu. I’m always here for you, you know that. Just don’t push your recovery, let the memories come at their pace, alright?”
“ Okay. I love you too Koki.” Kame answers back, they still keep their voices down since they’re pretty sure that Reio’s still trying to catch what their conversation.
Back downstairs Reio’s mom asks him what took him so long. He answers that he got lost since their house is fairly large. Koki comes down a few minutes later to say good-bye to Reio and his family and to give his mom an update on Kame’s real condition once his dad closes the front door.
“ Kame’s sorry dad, he told me to tell you that he was trying his hardest and he was doing good until he heard those sirens. That’s when he...” Koki’s cut off by Kame’s voice from the bottom of the stairs.
“ That’s when I freaked out, Koki and I think those police sirens triggered an auditory memory of the accident. I was trying my best since this was important to you, I just I didn’t cause you any problems with your new boss.”
“ Its okay Kazuya. He’s a junior boss anyway so my position is in no way in any danger. Are you alright though?”
“ Yeah, I’m fine.” he answers before turning to Koki, “ Hey Koki, help me with the dishes will you?”
“ Sure thing, Kame.”
While Koki and Kame do the dishes and clean up, their parents head upstairs for a little “ alone time themselves. With his parents gone Koki turns to Kame and asks, “ Do you feel up for school tomorrow?”
“ I don’t know, Koki. Ask me when tomorrow gets here.”
They dry and put the dishes away then go and sit in the living room to watch some tv before going to bed. Its past midnight when they drag themselves up to bed, and after changing into some comfy shorts, they crawl under the covers and with Kame’s head on Koki’s chest...they drift off to sleep.
