“ It seems that I’m needed in another country for work and...” He’s interrupted by Kame.
“ No...we just...” he stutters.
“ I’m sorry Kazu but I have no choice you know that and you...”
He never finishes because Kame gets up,grabs his coat and runs out the front door.
“ KAME!!” Koki shouts and runs after his boyfriend. “ Damn he’s fast!” He thinks as he loses track of Kame for a bit.
Kame doesn’t hear Koki call his name, or better to say that he does but he knows that if he stops then the pain of having to give Koki up will crush him. “ I knew I shouldn’t have started anything..I should’ve just kept to myself. Now I can’t bear to let him go.” Kame thinks as his legs finally give out.
He collapses on the ground under a tree in the park thats by his house, causing Koki to finally catch up to him. Koki’s running through the park calling his name but Kame doesn’t answer...he can’t, he can’t find his voice. Koki finally finds Kame sitting under the very tree that they had a picnic under on their two month anniversary, where Koki carved their initials into the bark of the tree.
“ Kazuya!” Koki runs over and pulls Kame to his feet wrapping his arms around him so he can’t run off again.

Pulling up Kame asks if he can tell the others about last night, koki agrees on the promise that the specifics would be left out. Kame agrees as Koki rings the bell, hearing two loud barks in response.
“ Hey guys, come in.” Maru says.

“ I don’t think so..but then again..I haven’t tried to get up yet.” He smiles back.
Once Koki’s strength came back he gets up and goes to start the shower while Kame takes a nap. Kame wakes up and doesn’t see Koki..kinda scared he calls out for his lover..
“ Koki?!” Hearing Kame call his name with a scared tone he comes back into the room.
“ Hey what’s wrong?” he moves Kame’s damp bangs from in front of his eyes.
“ Oh there you are...for a minute..I thought..”
“ You thought I left you huh?” Koki asks, understanding why Kame would feel that way. He felt that way after his first time too.
“ I’m sorry but yeah.”
“ Don’t be, your reaction is perfectly normal..I was the same way after my first time too. Now come on lets get cleaned up.” Koki says and helps Kame to the bathroom for a nice warm shower.
After making sure Kame’s fully clean so his health isn’t in danger, Kame is able grab the shampoo bottle and washes Koki’s hair while he concentrates on other areas. When Koki’s done he washes and rinses Kame’s hair and they just stand there until the water cools off. After turning the water off and drying themselves off, Koki carries Kame back to their bed and crawls in next to him and pulls Kame closer to his body.
“ See, I told you I was ready. I’m glad this happened with you, I really do love you Koki. Did anyone ever tell you how good you really are? Even though this was my first time...I can say that only you can give it to me that good. I swear Koki..I saw and heard fireworks and I want to thank you.”
“ For what?” he asks with a smile on his face that quite clearly said..“Yeah I know I’m good”.
“ For being gentle and taking your time.” Kame says with a yawn.
“ You’re welcome. I wanted your first time to be enjoyable and with as little discomfort and pain as I could manage, I love you Kame and I still hope to be able to be with you for the rest of my life.”
“ I love you too, Koki. I still want the same thing. But right now..I want to sleep, good night Koki.” Kame says.
“ Good night love.” Koki kisses the top of Kame’s head.
It wasn’t long before Kame’s breathing evened out and he started snoring lightly, Koki stayed awake watching the most precious treasure he’s ever had sleeping in his arms..he kisses his head again and soon follows Kame into dreamland.
Kame wakes up the next morning to a sore back and a cold bed. Wincing he slowly sits up and leans against the head board just as Koki comes in with two breakfast trays followed by three dogs.
“ Here ya go, Kame. I made us breakfast and I brought you some asprine for your back just in case.” He hands one of the trays Kame and then joins him in bed with his own.
“ Thanks Koki. Yeah my back does hurt, but I don’t mind since my first time was so wonderful and you tried your best not to hurt me. I’m glad you got to me before Ryo could sink his claws into me..or I would be in a helluva lot more pain than what I’m in now. Besides, you were great last night so a little pain doesn’t matter.” Kame says and after taking the pills him and Koki get started on their breakfast.
They spend all morning just laying bed relishing in the touch and presence of each other, not daring to think about when they have to part. Koki’s cell phone rings around noon as Kame reaches over to answer it..he winces slightly and hands it to Koki after seeing some guy’s name pop up he’s never seen before. He loves Koki and he can’t help but get jealous, especially after he sees the grin on Koki’s face as he answers the call.
“ Who is it Koki?” he asks his lover.
Putting his hand over the mouth piece he says, “ its just an old friend.” then puts the phone back to his ear and finishes his conversation, subsequently ignoring Kame though he doesn’t really mean to.
Kame just glares in Koki’s direction, his suspicions kicking into over drive since every other time Koki’s on the phone he’s usually paying Kame some sort of attention, but not this time. Every time Kame tries to grab Koki, he just moves out of his arms or shoos him away, getting annoyed Kame forces Koki back against the head board while glaring daggers at him...
“ Woah Kame! What’s the matter with you?” Koki asks taken aback as Kame still continues to glare at him. Then it dawns on Koki what Kame’s problem is...he’s jealous.
“ Besides, you being on the phone with some guy I don’t know...you’re ignoring me and acting like I don’t exist or worse like I’m just an annoyance to you.” his eyes changed from mad to sad in the less than 2 seconds.
“ Hang on a minute, Kame’s feeling left out.” Koki tells his ex as he switches it to speaker and lays the phone on the table.
“ Come here, baby. I’m sorry, I don’t mean to treat you that way. I have no feelings for him that don’t go beyond friendship..I love you now and only you. I loved you since the moment I saw you.” He assures Kame and goes back to doing what he always does when he’s on the phone and Kame’s around.
“ Who’s Kame?” the voice asks from the other end.
“ Me....his boyfriend.” Kame answers back.
“ Oh yeah, the one he saved from Ryo. Don’t worry, Kazuya..we’re just friends now, nothing more. Besides, I couldn’t turn his head even if I walked naked in front of him with a sign asking him to marry me...not since he found you. Koki’s not the straying type he really loves you and every time we talk..you’re all I hear about, “Kame did this” or “Kame kicked Junno for that”. I’m glad he’s happy..my name’s Nino.” he introduces himself while Koki’s busy rubbing Kame’s sore back.
“ I’m Kazuya. I’m glad to hear it and even if you did try..you wouldn’t get him back.” Kame says.
“ He’s all yours Kame. I just called to tell him that we just finished some new games and that I’ll send some copies his way. I’ll send you some as well as an apology for causing Koki to ignore you like he did its just every time we get on the subject of video games, we ignore everything and everyone else.” Nino says.
“ Okay.” Kame says.
Turning to Koki he says, “ Never do that again...that kinda hurt.”
“ I won’t, I promise and I’m sorry.” Koki assures Kame.
Nino hangs up and allows the couple to go back to what they were doing when he called...cuddling. Kame finally decides that he’ll risk the venture of getting up since he still has to walk Ran-chan. After getting dressed Koki and Kame take their dogs for a walk in the park near their house only to have a run in with Ryo and company, which is really the last thing the couple needs right now.
“ Hey Kazuya. Don’t think that just because I got suspended that you’re free to just give it up to anyone.” Ryo says with a smirk in Koki’s direction.
“ Ryo..go away. I’m not in the mood to deal with a trio of pathetic losers and besides Koki’s proven to be a much more worthy candidate anyway.” he turns to his partner, “Koki would you like to do the honors of enlightening our neighborhood midget here?”
“ Enlighten? What’s going on?” Tomo asks.
“ Yeah what’s with smug smile, Tanaka?” Ryo ask getting annoyed.
“ Kame’s no longer a virgin, Nishikido. I took him off of your hit list last night and if I’m not mistaken...he’s still limping slightly.” Kame nods in agreement.
“ WHAT?!!” Ryo couldn’t believe his ears.
“ Yeah and if I’m not mistaken that once a target’s conquered then who ever else was after that person, they can no longer go after them..or in this case, harass them. Have a nice day.” Kame says and the couple walk away.
Ryo was going to after them and tell Kame that until he’s had him that he would never be done with him. But he was stopped by Tomo who reminded him that while Koki was never ‘technically’ a part of their contest that rules are rules, and that outsider takers was never specified other wise. After their confrontation with Ryo they drop their dogs back home and drive over to Ueda’s place where they were supposed to meet up so they could all go to the movies, they made it an after noon movie since Koki told them that he just wants to spend these first few nights with Kame.
Pulling up Kame asks if he can tell the others about last night, koki agrees on the promise that the specifics would be left out. Kame agrees as Koki rings the bell, hearing two loud barks in response.
“ Hey guys, come in.” Maru says.
“Where’s Ueda and Junno? I have got something to tell you guys.” Kame inquires as he removes his coat and shoes.
“ They should be down any minute..they’re still in the shower.” Maru answers with a giggle.
“ You mean those two are..well I knew they were both gay but Junno didn’t strike me as the type of guy Tat-chan would go after.” Kame says.
“ We didn’t either, but Junno has the weird way of making Ueda feel calm and relaxed.” Koki answered.
“ Yeah its one of things Ueda finds attractive about him, but even Ueda could do without his horrible puns and bad jokes. Oh he has a few good ones but those are few and far between..here they come now.” Maru finishes as JunDa comes down the stairs.
“ Hey Kame, Koki. I was wondering who Maru was talking too.” Ueda leads them into his living room.
“ What’s up with grins guys?” Junno asks Koki and Kame who haven’t stopped grinning since last night.
“Well its official guys..I’m no longer on Ryo’s target list.” Kame says.
“ You mean..you let Koki..” Maru couldn’t get the words out, he was so shocked. While he was a prude to a certain extent he still thought that Kame wouldn’t have been ready so soon.
“ Way to go Koki!” Ueda said as high fives Koki.
“ That’s great Kame!” Junno shouts happily as he tackles Kame unaware that the guy’s still slightly sore.
“Ouch!! Get up Taguchi!” Kame says through gritted teeth.
“ He’s still sore idiot.” Koki says as he pulls Junno off of Kame.
“ Sorry Kame, I didn’t realize.” he said apologetically as Ueda attacks Junno’s head.
“ Its alright Junno but a high five would have sufficed.” he answers while Koki rubs his still sore back.
“ Kame...details already!” The other three shout, they want to know if the rumors of how good Koki is in bed are really true.
“ Sorry guys. But I promised Koki I wouldn’t give the details away. But I will say that those rumors that go around school about Koki’s skills in the bedroom are true.” Kame said while Koki hugged from behind. “ And come the middle of February I’m moving again.”
“ What? But you just got here, isn’t there anyway that you could stay while your parents move?” Ueda asks.
“ I highly doubt it. My parents don’t want to separate me and Koki but if they leave then I have no choice but to go with them. But enough of talk of me moving..lets just enjoy what time I have left and go see this movie that I was promised.” Kame says with a smile.
Later that night as Kame and Koki are lying in bed Kame asks Koki if he’s willing to give such a long distance relationship a try or if they should just break up when Kame leaves. He says that he doesn’t want to do either but since he has to pick one, he’d rather do the long distance thing as opposed to breaking up. Kame says that he’s happy to hear it since he didn’t want to break up either and with their mutual agreement set in stone they both drift off to sleep.
